Road Kamelot Hair Help

Well i plan to cosplay as road kamelot at Supanova this year and so far im in the process of making the costume and my only dilemma is the hair.
I can't seem to find a decent spiky hair tutorial (one that comes close to roads hair shape) or a thread on here and i do not want to buy a wig.
Any one know a good tutorial or a process they have used before? i was hoping that the style could look a bit feathery or soft or at least a bit natural because i have seen some fashioned hair that looked painful and caked in gel
My hair is black, shoulder length and wavy (recently got it layered).

Any help is appreciated. please.

Look at the thread below yours. Basically the same question.

Using your real hair won't be a good idea for several reasons - You (probably) don't have enough hair to do the style.
And also, a wig would turn out better.

As for tutorials, just look up spiking tutorials on YouTube. o.o They all have the same basic concept.
