Skyward Sword cosplay help?
I've decided to start early on my next cosplay which happens to be the Fabulous Debbie a.k.a. Demon Lord Ghirahim(unpronounceable name. Lol.)from Skyward Sword. I pretty much have the whole cosplay ready except for his cape and sword which will be self-made. I don't really know what kind of fabric to use that would look good with a white shiny metallic suit. I have no idea how to make the mantle/hood thing. I was actually thinking of using a dog cone(lol) an sewing the fabric around it and making it stick to the cone somehow. Also putting fabric on the inside of the cone. I'm not really sure if that will work out but I'l test it on some old fabric.
Aside from my crazy ideas~ Does anybody have any suggestions on the fabric or mantle/hood? And if you could list some fabric similar to the desgin inside of his cape that would be amazing. I already checked my local fabric store and the only thing that came close was small black & white diamonds. Just my luck. This is a rather old post but nobody has replied. Do you still need help? Acording to the in game a wine colored mock sued might work. As for the inside you won't find a pattern like that. That has to be done by you. I'm guessing the ridged part of the mantle is what is stumping you. might I suggest something that is crazy enough to work. Try taking allumium foil and molding it into the shape you want. Then cover both sides with duct tape to give you your form. After that just so the form in between the faberic.
