Iris Diaphragm

I thought this might interest someone who is looking into making some steampunk style goggles. Would make for a nifty overlay as opposed to a lens.

Wow! Its so cool! i dont really now a lot about steampunk, but they seem really cool!
You thinkthey could be done with old paper? or brass colored one?

To answer your question plainly, yes rodrires.

The color of the paper makes no difference. In mine it just happens to be that I'm using blue 110lb cardstock. However, if you found suitably stiff paper it would be the same idea. You could even apply gold leaf and such to enhance it.
