Idea taken from elsewhere.

Rules:

-Must have been taken by the poster.

-Dont post more than 1 or 2 pictures in a day.

-Dont be crude, no potty humor...

-Can be cosplay or otherwise

-Have fun!

Thought this may attract more people to posting in the photo forum. =)

Don't be afraid to make some quick comments on others photos
or post a few lines of background info on your own pictures!

I would love to post here from time to time, but I have never solved how to successfully post images in a forum. I think I have tried to do it properly, but it seems to Never work, so I have linked images in all my forum posts. It looks so much better to see the images in the forum itself. Has anybody else had issues like this? Any suggestions on how to get around it people?

You just have to put your URL between the tags.
like you'd put.

Using [ instead of { as the freaking code tag doesn't work.

And that image will show up inline usually. You'll have to manually resize that image to fit the forum's layout though so it looks like 640 on the width end is the largest or it'll spill over/screw formatting of the site.

I don't think they intended this when they left posting photos open in this area.

@TFCreate: This type of thread has been opened on numerous forums, some with much larger user bases than cosplay.com, and has worked out quite well. Let's just wait and see where this goes. =)

Great photo so far guys! Don't be afraid to make comments on the pictures as well. Also, a line or two of background information on the photos would be cool, I think!

I think it can lead to a bit of flooding and will ultimately get ignored by frequent forum visitors.

I personally think the amount of activity we get here in these forums is fine. We'll have a drought every few days, but overall I think we're a fairly tight photographer community. I applaud the OP's will in seeking more involvement but I think we should stick to discussions over just posting photos we've taken. Kudos on the idea though!

I still don't know how to load a photo here. Is there a way I can just upload it from my hard-drive, or must it be posted online somewhere? For all these years, I just don't have a clue!!

Japan Expo 2011. Taken for Objectif Costumes . On the publisher's booth, we did a series of minishoots for Black Butler cosplayers, in exchange for an expo. This is the first pic to come out, it's one of my shoots, and I kinda like it ^^

@Brucer : A simple way to do it is with a flickr account, there's an option that directly gives you the bbcode to paste on the forum.

As Asurachan said, you have to host the photo elsewhere and place its URL in between two BBcode img tags like so:

[img]image URL[/img]

It has to be hosted online somewhere and then linked.

I like the concept of matching characters against characters from a different shows.

I think I did everything recommended by all who gave ideas...but still, no success...I used a photo I hosted in my gallery here at cosplay.com: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/3001178/c_1/#3026165 (pulling my hair out).

EDIT: Woo hoo! I finally got it to work, thanks to all of you who helped! The photo appears! XOXOX!
