I like Surfsama's other Moon photo more..haha..That was super-sharp, and clear. It's not so easy to do..I am still trying to get that kind of clarity on moon shots.

I'm a natural light photographer. I have this uncanny ability at conventions and on shoots in general where I'm able to find interesting lighting and making it work. I've been asked by other photographers what lighting equipment I use only to leave them baffled/surprised when I say I don't own any. I also have a tendency of getting rather indepth with editing sometimes. Case in point the first image before editing was 2 exposures darker than what's shown and the second photo took somewhere around 6-7 hours to get it to where it is now.

Yeah, I guess Ill play some more since I did just finish a Con set . . . as always in Typical Facebook Quality, or total lack thereof

K-On!: Mio Akiyama Maid Outfit

the boring stuff: 1 light in an umbrella softbox to the right just out of frame, fired TTL at the Model, this was the D7000 with Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8

Madoka Magika: Homura Akemi

the boring stuff: this was the F100 loaded with Fuji Provia 100F, looking through a Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR (the Mark I). . . no flash was used

This is a great thread. : 3 Never noticed it until now. 8 D

Anyways... hello all. : 3 I'm new to photography and slowly learning my way, so please be kind to me. Or rip me apart, that's okay too. 83 Whichever suits you. I haven't been taking photos for a while, so for now, I suppose I'll show photos of old photoshoots.

These two photos were taken at Anime Detour in MN, around the hotel, and I got found some interesting places outside. So enjoy? :3

Both pictures are the same model, which is my little sister as Xion and Road. :3 Sorry that the pics are a little big.

Xion

Road

This year I should be getting more models and more pictures of nature. 83

(edit: everyone's photos are so great. it makes me shy and nervous to post my own. >>;; but seriously, lovely photos everyone! It really inspires me to learn more and do more than to be the best! :3)

I photographed one of the local models on this small island I am living on in the Philippines called Boracay. She was impressed with the photos I have been loading onto Facebook, so I decided to offer her to become one of our Girls of Action, for our photo book project.

I am blessed with some really nice locations here, as well as beautiful women to work with.

I have lately been making a splash with my photography in the Philippines. I had my model Novie pose very gracefully as my friend Jeff (also known as Hollywood Ninja) hand-hold a Canon 580EX with a Pocket Wizard Flex attached. I had him stand further away than she was, just out of frame, to aim the flash on the water behind her, letting it light her as well.

This time I went deeper in the water than Novie, aiming towards the beach, to catch the electrical lighting reflected on the water. Her pose reminded me of The Little Mermaid movie poster.

These are really beautiful. The blue tones give a very cool feel to the composition.
