I did this photoshoot with this girl dressed as Chun-Li, at a convention in Davis, CA. I just got the film back, and I made this picture a bit more somber, and added some text. Working on expanding my skills with GIMP. And I think it turned out well.

Another two photos from when I was strolling about the south bank of the Thames in London, near the Royal Festival Hall prior to a concert in December. It was fully dark by 5 PM, and I balanced my camera on a fence to shoot a carousel.

And then played with some long exposures. I had to travel light on this trip, but mental note for the future: BRING A TRIPOD. On the other hand, London quite obligingly has lots of sturdy wrought-iron fences that are quite handy for the lazy (I mean, minimalist!) photographer.

Unfortunately, resizing the picture stripped out my metadata so I won't be able to tell what my camera settings were until I check the original file, which is at home on another computer. I can post this later if people are interested.

Syagria: wow, very nice! I love the colors of the carousel captured!

Anyways, something I just did. Haha. Never tried to add anything into a photo before other brightening it or sharpening, etc. I still have much to learn with editing. But here's a photo anyways. :3 Amateur attempt at fire making. 8D Fire brushed made by darkdana666 of DA. :3

I am loving the fact that we're sorting doing themes. 8D haha. Not really. But close enough.

The only thing close enough to water (as I have no more flaming pictures for us, yet), here is a very old shot from a point and shoot camera (that I no longer have, but am missing!). A non-cosplay photo as I am busy with finals! I should have some cosplay photos (I believe) by end of May. 83

you know, I don't know if I already showed this one or not. *goes to search* -minutes later: Phew! I have not. 83

Water Theme!

This is the Swann Memorial Fountain in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; also called the Fountain of the Three Rivers, symbolizing the Delaware River (man), the Wissahickon Creek (girl), and the Schuykill River (woman). This is the Schuykill Woman.

Sept 2007, film.

I just put this up last night, and I can't believe how this came out. I did very little editing. Lightly sharpened the image, and made it a couple of shades darker, but this is it.

Here are some stills that are from a feature film I am the Director of Photography on. It is being made in the Philippines, which boasts some beautiful scenery. I am shooting this movie with the same Canon 5D Mark2 and lenses that I take Cosplay photos with! The movie's title is called "SKETCH", about a sketch Farmer/ Sketch Artist who has his faith in GOD challenged.

When we saw this scenery on the way to our farm location, we had to pull over and get this shot with the stars of our movie.

DAWN

I decided to make them into a silhouettes in post, because I liked the poses on this shot the best, but the male was looking towards the camera. By making his face dark enough, I was able to make it look like he was instead, watching the sunset.

SUNSET

You can see more on this movie SKETCH on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/sketchthemovie .......I won't mind if you click Like.

Nice decision on the silhouette Bruce, I think you pulled off exactly what you wanted.

Thanks for your comment Firecloak.

Here are some moody backgrounds we captured while making the movie "SKETCH" with my Canon 5D Mk2.

This is a back-lit rain-effect scene, lit by LED lights in the background and on his face.

We were on top of a mountain, above the city for this. I had to use LED lights very subtly to mix them with the city lights at ISO 3,500. I had 3 lights on her. One light behind her, another light, coming from behind her camera-left, and another lighting her face from camera-left.

An Canon 85mm 1.8 lens was used for both images.
