Submitting one mainly because I need help identifying the cosplayer and/or series. Taken at AX 2012.

Not only was I the one who set up and took this photo (with my tripod and self-timer) but I'm the Karkat in the photo. It's not the best work of mine, but I love the colors, poses, facial expressions, and positioning. It's so simple, XD yet it happens to be one of my favorites XD

There DOES need to be more people posting in the photography forums

An exceptional cosplay at Soycon 5:

Think she said it was from Tales of Symphonia.

Thanks, there are more here (2). It is nice seeing rare cosplay. Common cosplay always seems to go in waves. These days there are more Homestuck and Panty & Stocking than anything else. Just a few months ago it would have been Hetalia and Vocaloid. While I do take photos of pretty much anyone in a costume, my motivation level does sometimes relate to the cosplay itself. I'm still hoping I'll someday see an epic Iria cosplay.

I learned a new HDR workflow and I'm very pleased with the results. The final image looks more authentic and less surreal. What do you think?

Here is a another image from the Sentai cosplay photo shoot I did at Anime Expo 2012.

This Japanese cosplayer from Japan had some high energy, and a lot of martial arts skills!

Those look great! Her staff looks amazing done in those photos! :3

It's definitely nice to see some rare cosplays. :3 I know there are cosplays that I want to see others do (that I can't do myself because I'm a newbie like that). >>;; Of course, there is nothing wrong with the massive cospalyers of Homestruck, Panty & Stocking, Vocaloid, Hetalia, Naruto, etc. :3 As long people are happy with what they are cosplaying. : D

@bruce007:
You two pose so well in the air! Nice photo!

@TykeJack:
o, O It looks amazing in both photos. It looks really surreal in the before photo actually. Is that one suppose to be the after photo?

That's what I said, I said the new "after" image looks less surreal, which was the goal. I wanted it to appear less processed and more like something you'd naturally see in nature.

@Nunderw00b, thanks for the information.

TykeJack: I concur the "after" looks much more realistic. Now go and spread your gospel to rid the world of that horrible (IMO) "HDR" look.

Haha. Opps. Forgive me, should have read your post carefully. :3 Then yes, after effect definitely looks more real. :3 Awesome work!
