I love your composition Mnguyen. Your focus on one message, while seeing all others nicely blurred is beautiful;
and so are the softer colors and distant backround. What a powerful and worthy message Just Bee declared! I do think wishing for happiness for "everyone" does include "himself/herself". ;-) Here is one of my photos from this year's Nisei Week, taken at the same festival Mnguyen took his Photo of the Day. I have been photographing this wonderful artist Miyuki Matsunaga, doing her unique Geta Dance creation. Her perfomances are very entertaining, with amazing varieties of visuals and emotions. At Otakon 2011 I spent a lot of time at random cosplay gatherings with the 85mm lens. I liked how the colors and fade to black turned out with this one:

Ouch! Note to bodatheyoda: Smaller images will be more user friendly here.

---- Here's a photo from my first up close california wildfire. It was pretty crazy, with helicopters and airplanes flying as close as 20 feet away from the rooftops to drop water and fire retardant.   |
