I respect every person's opinion on anything whether it be religion, politics, or social ettiquette. My friends and I don't always have the same opinions, but it doesn't stop us from being friends. I have some friends who are one religion, others who are another religion, and some friends with no religion at all. I didn't become friends with them because of their religion, I became friends with them because they are nice people who have some things in common with me. That doesn't mean we agree on everything, but it means we don't hate each other for differences of opinion.

I'm Norse Heathen, heathen mostly because people in my community find it offensive not to be of christian faith.

Mostly I just emulate a religion, I am not faithful (pun intended) to any certain religion. For example, I highly emulate Tyr, who sacrifised his hand to keep a beast at bay for the safety of others. Thus, honor, and self sacrifice are big in my life.

Though my last name (which IS Volnixshin, I legally changed the entirety of my name when I was 20) means "Shadow God" or "God of Shadows" Doesn't nessesarily mean I worship darkness, because I don't, but I understand that where there is light, there is also shadow, and both sides should be respected.


Speaking of religion on another hand, as a problem, I was kicked out of my family's church, for cosplaying incidenly, because I was "going along with the devils trickery" ( I had cosplayed some members of the horsemen of apocalypse) and I was banned. My family switched churches, but I myself have no desire to be of that certain faith.

On a different note:
I'm agnostic/Pagan, I do believe in energy after death, no so much life after death. I do believe in the elements, we as a human race can't take for granted the energy and life the environment gives us. Why disregard it as having the same sort of energy, or rather spirits, if it's what keeps us alive?

I don't mind the door to door people. I'm always polite, let them say their opening speech, explain I'm not interested and offer them a beverage.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm sometimes in the position where I feel people are trying to force me to take a stance regarding religion.

One that isn't "You can believe whatever ya want".

I think that 'biology' should be taught and then the ideas of how the end product came about should be left up to the students individually.

And then they should divide the class into two sides, and make them battle to the death. Let's call it... survival of the fittest.

Though we also have a Political thread, and thats also a highly combatitive topic, and that's managed to stay open.

Onstead of us all saying "This thread will de-evolve" just be polite and respectful, because we can do that, and we have. A little debate here and there won't hurt us.
