MTAC (Middle Tennessee Anime Convention) 2012 - Page 4

I just finished registering, which is lucky. I had NO IDEA today was the last day of pre-registration. Only going for Saturday since I'll be on my own and...seems kind of silly to go for a whole weekend by myself and spend so much money.

I didn't think I was going to cosplay, but I figured something simple wouldn't hurt. Don't know if there will be any other Vocaloid cosplayers there, but I'm doing a simple (like...going to Goodwill and buying stuff that works) Luka. This'll be my first time going to a convention, though I've been wanting to for years. If I had a bucket list, going to a con would be on my bucket list.

If I had a bucket list, I would now get to cross something off of it! 8D

So, I figured this would be the best place to ask a little bit of a weird question.

See, I'm only attending the con on Saturday, but I'll be in Nashville early Friday. Trouble is, I won't have anything to do! So, I was curious about whether anyone else would be interested in doing a sort of...Cosplay Titanic event? As long as it'll still be playing in the area, we could all just dress in cosplay and go to the movie theater to chill for a bit. Figured it might be fun for those of us who don't have much to do on Friday.

So some friends and I have a Catherine cosplay group going on (and we're trying to plan a nightshoot), but it seems that we still need some members! We have the main guys, but we'll also have an Orlando and Erica, so it'd be awesome if we had the other minor characters as well!

Is anyone perhaps cosplaying as any of these guys? Toby, Johnny, or Trisha?

I don't think we really need Trisha, but we really need a Toby. I may cosplay as Johnny, as I already have most of his outfit (lolcasualcosplay), and I'll have my friend wear my sheep costume haha. D: I really wanna do a cool bar scene, so yeah...

Anyone else not 100% finished with their costumes? I always end up having to work until the very last day. Gotta work on that. lol My costume will be done in time (I literally have about three things left to do), but it's still a bit nerve wracking.

So I've been considering going to MTAC this year, I love conventions and ironically enough I live in TN and have never been to this one! xD Since I've gotten more into Anime in the last three years I've been more considering going but since it'd be so last minute of a decision on my part I don't have any costume planned for it! and my Hunger Games and Legend Of The Seeker costumes are totally not anime so I'm assuming they wouldn't work? xD
Gah I feel like such a noob in this! x.x Wish I had planned to have my Chobits costume made for this!

You don't necessarily have to dress up in only anime related cosplays. The awesome thing about MTAC is that it incorporates a huge variety of fandoms! So having a Hunger Games or Legend of the Seeker cosplay wouldn't be weird at all.

So I'm late to this thread but better late than never XD I am going with a group and we are all scattered as far as costumes go. I will be dressed as the red hood from batman and my buddy is going as the same only he is doing the joker version with the giant glass dome on his head. lol. Please don't hesitate to say " hey" this will be my first con and I'm so excited for it. I will be there all three days. I can't wait to meet all of you and really looking forward to meeting the green ranger.
