Question Opaque Contact Lenses?

Hello all!

I'm putting together a modest cosplay for this year's Comic Expo in Calgary. I've never done anything like this before, so I'm hoping to get some advice...

First thing, I'm looking to buy coloured contact lenses. They need to be solid blue (any shade, really), reasonably opaque, and lined in black. I'm basically going for a comicbook-style eye with no shading. Bonus points if they have a comic/anime-style reflection mark in white.

Any suggestions of where to buy/order in Canada?

I should mention that I found these, but I'm not sure about the quality: http://www.coolcontacts.ca/blue-manson-contact-lenses/

Thanks!

When you say solid blue, are you talking about the ones that don't have any shading to them? Or are you talking about sclera lenses?

Your talking about bright blue lenses?

Here are four I bookmarked

And geo make "anime" ones.

I honestly never buy in Canada because the selection is poor.

You can get some nice bright blues from optometrist-branded lenses like Freshlook, too, but of the ones I've tried on, I can't recall if any had the limbal ring like circle lenses would. Usually the emphasis on "regular" colour lenses is to NOT look unnatural (case in point, non-circle lens purples look like grey-blue crap).

I have tried a lot of optometrist-branded lenses in the past (pretty much tried every brand they had lol), and so far all of them are 'natural looking', some more showing than others but still having more than one color in them or not having a black ring around it.

Your best bet would be with what Ani_BEE suggested, pinky paradise has a very nice selection and power as well as been fairly cheap and the shipping is only around $5 or whatnot. Just be sure to chose the correct diameter, as 14.0 may be too small if you have big eyes and 15.0 may look too big depending on what you want.

If you don't want to buy from them though, there's also Clearly Contacts (http://www.clearlycontacts.ca) that may have some.
Splash of Color 2 are "natural looking" but with a VERY intense color (meaning not so natural looking lol). Otherwise they used to have Halloween contact lenses which were more 'fake looking', but I have no idea where the link went on their website so...
