i as well crossplay and not only straight but also a black girl
 ( some people and even those in the cosplay community get all anal about that ) but yeah really why should it matter? cosplay is cosplay

I'm straight and when I decided I wanted to cosplay I started to think of my favorite characters to choose from. It so happens quite a few were female and I thought it would be cool to go as one of them. Cosplay should be all about fun and interacting with fellow people. I gotta couple cosplays being made that are female and I can't wait to go to AB with them.
Crossplay for AB 2013: Ada Wong from Resident Evil 6 Sailor Neptune from Sailor Moon I hope to have one more but well see. |

I ain't gay either and I crossplay because 1. It's fun to hang out with others in my fandom who join in the fun of crossplaying, and 2. It's sometimes amusing to see if people can get my correct gender.
As Larcenciel said here cosplaying is all about having fun. Maybe there's a higher percentage of gay people in the MtF crossplaying community compared to the overall population, but still that doesn't mean all MtF crossplayers are gay.

Straight MtF crossplayer here.
Personally, I enjoy making the costume more than wearing it, so masking my gender's just another challenge for me.

Im straight as a 2x4. Ask anyone I know and theyll tell you I LOVE me some girls <3 but I find something like crossplay very interesting and fun :O

I'm gay, but I would never crossplay. It just is not for me, even though people always tell me "oh my gosh you're so fabulous and feminine you should totally try crossplaying!"
Not saying crossplaying is a bad thing. I just don't have the balls nor the desire to do it.
