I'm from Wisconsin.

It seems like most Wisconsin cosplayers are from Madison or Milwaukee, which unfortunately are long drives for me.

Unfortunately I'm even farther away from central WI than Milwaukee is. But I know how hard it is to find cosplayers in my area, so I feel your pain.

Hi xMookie!

On an unrelated note, why do all the Wisconsin threads die so fast? And has anyone ever been to Plattecon?

All the threads die fast except for a few it's not just the Wisconsin one's. I've never been to Plattecon nor have I ever heard of it but I did google it.

I know many threads don't last very long, but it seems like certain states can keep their threads around for a pretty long time. I was looking into Plattecon as it's probably the closest one to where I live, but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it or not. It kinda reminded me of Kappa Kon in that it seems kind of small. I'm just trying to find the best one for my money without having to travel too far.

Right now I think that anime milwaukee and geek.kon are the biggest one's here though I think that anime milwaukee is bigger. There's also apparently word about there being an anime world milwaukee in the summer its sort of like a moving convention cause they just had one in chicago. I don't know how many people that one will attract.

I've never heard of this, but I hope they do it. If you hear any more info about it please let me know. I kind of figured animemilwaukee would be the biggest and kappakon would be the smallest, which is ironic sine they're both in the same city. I've also heard No Brand Con and Daishocon were pretty big and I assume Wausaubicon and Kitsunekon would be smaller but I'm not sure.

Kappakon is small because one it was a first tar convention and it was also held in a high school. I've never been to either wasubicon or daishocon but I have had friends who have gone and they said that there pretty good sized but that anime milwaukee is still bigger kitsunekon is the same way or so I have heard. I ussually travel out of state for most conventions and go to the bigger one's.

Yeah, I'm hopefully either going to Anime Milwaukee or Anime Detour. I'd like to go to Anime Detour since it's bigger, but that would probably only be a one time con for me. After that I have to find cons closer to home to keep me happy, and it looks like Anime Milwaukee would probably be my best bet. (Unfortunately anime milwaukee is before anime detour so I'd have to wait a whole year.)
