Saturdays are turning into movie days for me.

This morning: the new Sherlock Holmes. The period music they used made my inner music nerd VERY happy. The movie itself was also quite entertaining. 4.5/4

This evening: the latest Planet of the Apes. Andy Serkis is an *amazing* body actor. 4/5

Transformers: Dark of the Moon...typical Michael Bay movie gone overboard with about an hours' worth of non stop action at the end...but I still enjoyed it

Ed Wood - 5/5

It's nice to see a Johnny Depp movie where Depp is actually acting in-character, rather than acting like himself in a character's outfit.

Hugo 5/5
I absolutely loved it, even though I missed the first 10 minutes
But I'd really rather review a lesser known Czech movie I watched prior
Little Otik 4/5
Definitely one of the subtly strangest movies I've ever seen. Being a Jan Svankmajer film, it may cause serious mental problems. It's about a couple who desperately wants a baby but can't have one because they're both infertile, then the husband finds a stump that's shaped like a baby and the wife starts acting like its a real baby and uses pillows to appear pregnant so that no one thinks they stole it, then things start getting weird when it actually comes to life.

Currently watching Stardust and thoroughly enjoying it.

That movie didn't get enough love.

Redline. It is completely ridiculous and I love it. I'm seriously tempted to try and do a Sweet JP cosplay just because of that insane pompadour, though I've no idea how I'd make it or get it to stay on my head. I'd have to ask some of those Daryan Crescend cosplayers for tips.

I have no idea what the movie was called, but it was set in New Zealand and was about killer sheep and whoever they bit turned into sheep-like creatures. It was honestly no worse than any zombie I've seen, so it was pretty entertaining.

Shadow of the Vampire - 3/5

After watching Nosferatu, I gave this movie a go. It's good, and I'd recommend at least one watch, but for me, one watch was enough. It's not bad by any means, but I think Ed Wood spoiled me when it comes to these kind of 'behind the scenes' movies.
