Ahhh, see that sucks (makes me wonder if that person ever had it happen and i feel bad they seen it) Like i said good movie, but i probably should have looked into it a little just to know what it was. I did enjoy it though, and i will probably try to read the books so that when the next one comes out i don't have to be so bais towards it and know what to expect.

I like watching movies so i can warn others what to look out for, what its about or what they may like about it. I try not spoil it or tell them not too (more like a "before you watch it just know...")

I'm glad you didn't take it as an angry statement though (i was seriously stressing if i said it rude or not)
No no I didn't take it as rude at all. I enjoy a good debate about films I've not read the books but I've seen the other swedish language films and the content in those is much tamer; for the most part, theres certainly no scenes like the rape again.

Sweet! I heard from a chick who read read the books, that it's really decent (as in it gives a lot more background, and etc like all books do that the movie doesn't) I thought about seeing the swedish film (i saw about 10 minutes of it, but i way younger back then and was bored)

I have to say im pretty glad about that, not like the movie/ book was bad for containing it, but i do feel relieved that i might not have to see it again. (At the end i was MAD) I was thinking i hope she knocks ol dude out (but i guess since he never stated they had a relationship i can't entirely hate him for being that way)

Going back to the original topic...

I hardly watch any movies. The last one I watched was Avatar (finally) when I was in Ohio for Christmas. My dad wanted me to see it. It was alright. I really liked Pandora and LOVED Sigourney Weaver's character (can that woman ever NOT be hot?), but the movie was about 30 minutes too long.

Awesome movie! If you like dark comedies, this one is on the top of the heap.

Just watched this video: http://youtu.be/-2bsXC-uhXQ

Now who can tell me that honestly isn't better than CGI?!

It's such a shame they didn't use any of these in the final film, my biggest problem was the fake looking CGI monsters in The Thing (2011). I don't get it, that must have been months of worth that they just threw away, what honestly made them think "Nope I think we should use CGI hurp."?

It could have been so much creepier.

I want to see that actually. In fact I've meaning to watch a lot more samurai films since my film studies teacher gave us a list of films to watch and told us to watch all of Akira Kurosawa's samurai films.

I saw a box set with most of his films in HMV... very tempting

Totally just saw Shame at the cinema. Really good film, really interesting. That's generally the go to word when you're not sure if you actually enjoyed what you just saw. It is a hard watch at times, The sex scenes are extremely graphic. It's just uncomfortable, the whole way through, they manage to make sex look like the most lurid deprived activity ever. It reminded me of American Psycho at times, but where Bateman was obsessed with himself and was looking in the mirror thinking how good he looks. In Shame Michael Fassbender is completely self loathing and yeah, ashamed of what he's doing, just the look on his face in one particular scene where as he's doing it he deliberately stared deep into the camera in a look that just says pathetic. Really good performances, esspecially by Carey Mulligan doing the most uncomfortable brother-sister relationship I've seen in a long time. Watch it.

No, it really wont be. Unless its make up or costumes.

Its a good film but it not going to win an oscar. For one thing its not the kind of film that wins oscars, we know they don't like action films. Also the best actor catagory and best film catagories are going to be full of the likes of Moneyball, The Artist, Melancholia, Drive, Tree of Life, Shame. Artsy films by foreign directors with messages and meaning. The kind of films that makes someone cry or go Oooooo, not the kind that make someone go Phwoar!

Watched the The Devil Within and well the scariest part of the movie is where a dog jumps up against a fence/wall... I was well very disappointed after hearing it was supposed to be scary... Maybe I'm just not an easy scare.
