Question Ling's Jacket Help

Howdy all!

I was looking through the FMA Forum lists looking for some good advice to make a Ling cosplay and noticed that there wasn't anything. I find this rediculous! Ling Yao is the awesome! D:

Anyway, on to business. I'm planning to make my sis a Ling Yao cosplay and have to ask: Does anyone know of a good pattern to make Ling's yellow jacket?

I've found this one that could work for his jacket, but I'm open to other suggestions!
(I was thinking F's length with A's sleeves and D's neck, only slightly higher.)

I'd appreciate any help or advice you'd be willing to give to a lowly cosplay novice like myself!

While that splice of jackets should work, also take a look at men's jackets. There are differences (sometimes subtle) in the shaping, and unless she's doing a gender-bend Ling, the men's jacket shape will give the illusion of a man more than that pattern will.

That combination should work, I second the suggestion to check men's patterns, but also check costume patterns, I've found a ton of really nice patterns labeled as "costume" patterns.
