A quick photo shoot at the beach.

Hey all, I was just wanting to share some of the quick photos I took at the beach.

Just took this recently with my 24-70 L and 7D. My girlfriend wanted a photo shoot done of the dress that she made for a competition she's entering (she's an aspiring fashion designer).

We went out to this cold beach and just took a few quick pictures.

Very nice photos. Good poses and composition as well!

Jason, you mean the pose where she's in her orange jump suit? Nothing is sexier than orange

Hi there. I am a professional portrait photographer so take these comments with salt :P Image 1 is really REALLY underexposed there is NO light to her face which makes it really dark and just unflattering.

Picture 2. I could of cropped it at her knees. Her legs look a bit awkward here though I really like how the light hits her face. The angel is a little too low though maybe try getting a little higher up to see more of her face or have her turn towards you more

picture 3. I feel like yet again it's under exposed with not enough lighting to her.

last picture. again with the lighting. her face is in the dark! You want to be able to enjoy her face! a little lightening would of helped

all in all its a good shoot!

2 and 5 are my favorites. They show off the clothing really well. And have good lighting, and make her look thinner and taller.
They also look editorial.
Scrap the rest.

Very good advice, also, it could just be image quality, but some seem to out of focus slightly on the face versus her shirt, which i'm guessing was just the auto focus being tricky and a shallow death of field. Really make sure the face and eyes are in focus, it's very important.
