Hello everyone!!
for the next con that i go to that is either next years comic con, or godiekocon i want to be lucy from elfen lied. I am new to cosplay but i think this version of lucy i can pull off very well. i hope...i really want to stick true to her character how i remember her.

in this picture, and in this part of the show she has short hair with this outfit, i see many people put long hair with this outfit when they cosplay her. i would prefer to not go to long hair when i cosplay her character but to stick to the short hair. I am having a hard time, (like many seem to have) finding the right wig for lucy. I have rly thick, long blond hair about 3-4 in. away from my butt so trying to fit all my hair in a short wig will be...interesting...

and this is the only wig i have been able to find close enough for her..but i dont think its dark enough! any suggestions? what do you guys think? please help me out.

(there is also no wayy i can make her horns soo..i found a ebay page that sells the ears that tie into the wig...so i will probably just buy them. any thoughts there?)

The base wig for this looks like it'd work (though you'd be paying for the ponytails you wont use)

this one would need bangs cut in.
if you can't find the color you want though you can dye a wig. Its not actually that difficult but getting an exact color you want takes time

Also, just for future reference, using a wig cap will solve your long hair vs. short wig issue.

This one could work too, although I like the one you're looking at...
For the horns, you could make them out of polymer clay, or, if you think that would be too heavy, make a base out of foil or styrofoam first. Just an idea ^^

ahh I plan on cosplaying lucy for a-kon
this year and I'm having trouble finding a wig to but if I find one for her I'll let you know c:

That wig looks good but as a Lucy cosplayer, I'll tell you people tend to forget that she cut her hair at the end. I did that outfit with short hair first and got confused for Nana. I later used a long wig, the short one was cheap anyway.
