Good heavens! What has that poor thing been through? xDD

I have used this method before for a very long storage-scraggly wig and it didn't work as well as yours has. The problem is probably that I didn't use as much softener as you did and my water wasn't hot at all. Kudos!

Oh wow that's amazing. I have a scary long party city blue wig that's tangled beyond help. At least I can fix it. Huh, I wonder if I could use it on my sister's dolls' hair too...

While I forgot to take pictures of it, I had some older cosplay wigs of mine that looked like they'd been through hell and back. I tried this out (soaked for two hours and used seven cap fulls of fabric softener for six inches of bathtub water) and once they were rinsed, dried, and combed they looked absolutely silky and beautiful again.

Works wonders.

It had been through things wigs should never have been through. Mainly storage and moving while not in a wig bag.

Thank you for sharing! Going to try this on a long wig I had stored improperly for...lets just say a few years.

I am waiting for more people to post pics of their results. I did find one more thing, now the wigs I did that to now seem to be much more resistant to re-tangling!

Oh wow, that is definitely a major improvement. I have a 52'' wig I might try to revive using that. I'll post progress pics if/when I get around to it. Fabric softener is not something I've ever had in my house, so I'll have to locate some.
