My questions relates to my Sunday costume for Youmacon. For World Steam Expo this past spring, I made an costume in a green/tan/brown color scheme. My friends decided it looked vaguely Earth Kingdom-esque.

What I would like to know is how I might go about adding details to make this blatantly Steampunk Earth Kingdom.

I had the idea of adding a gold chain belt ornamented with Asian coins to the corset.

First, your link seems not to work, so I can't see the costume.

Second, Legend of Korra is more steampunk, so find the trailer and look at it scene by scene to get some ideas.

Lastly, I'd suggest adding little earth kingdom medallions. I assume there are gears somewhere on the costume, so put the EK symbol right in the middle of some. Since I can't see the costume, I can't see if you have arm or ankle bands, but I'd suggest those, too.

I think it would look good with these sort of armbands, they're more that era. Just make them a bit more earth kingdom-y. Also, the little buttons on the upper right of the shirt could be little earth kindgom buttons.

Thanks for your suggestions! I'll puzzle around with this for now until I have time to actually get work done on it. (Possibly until after Korra is released haha)
