A question: Cosplay in ROME

(I really hope I'm posting this in the right place orz)

Heya cosplayers! How are you?
I have a weird and important question;

I'm going to Rome next week and I was thinking of bringing along my Marth cosplay (Fire Emblem/Super Smash Bros) for some Photoshooting.
I know the location isn't exactly accurate to his "time/era" but it is better than what we have here.

But my question is this -
There are a lot of street performers in Rome/Italy in general and I heard they have permits to perform on the streets.
BUT
If you go around in a costume on the streets and you don't have one - you might get arrested...
That's what I heard anyway (unless you don't take people's money or let them take pictures of you).

TL;DR
Can you get arrested in Rome for wearing a costume on the street?
Just wondering if I should bother...
Thanks for your time!

I seriously doubt it. As long as you're not, like, putting a hat down and expecting people to put money in it.

I mean, they have cardinals up there, those guys dress whacky.
