First time superhero cosplay help?
I am planning Wiccan from the young avengers for an upcoming con but I have no idea where to even start.
http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0...536-wiccan.jpg http://www.mltimelines.net/images/wiccan2.jpg http://images.wikia.com/marveldataba...Wiccan_003.jpg http://i.annihil.us/u/prod/marvel//u...-Wiccan442.jpg The pictures above are a mixture of him as Wiccan and him as Asgardian. I think I will do the wiccan design simply because it's a lot easier on a first time armor maker ![]() But not to the point of this topic, I have no idea in the slightest where to even start with costume. I have now idea what kind of fabric to use or even construction of his outfit under the cape. (also if anybody could find me picture of him from behind or without his cape i will give you my first born child XD) |

It looks like you could get a black body suit as a base, then modify it (ie, cut the sleeves to make them short like his), unless you can sew. Then I'd start working on all the armour since it seems like there's quite a bit to create. There's lots of great armour tutorials online/youtube. I don't know if this even helps but :P I tried.

If you're looking to buy a body suit, these are relatively inexpensive - http://www.doitstyle.com/Wholesale-s...-Catsuits-c210 (I mean if you compare with something like a surfer wetsuit, which are all around $200)
Look up some craft foam armor tutorials for the metal bits. It's really quite easy. I thought it would be hard but it definitely isn't. |

If it's any help, I'm modifying a Capezio tb114 jumpsuit for my Wiccan costume.
