Fabric choices for Dynasty Warriors cosplay [wang yuanji]

Hi guys,
I'm looking for suggestions on the type of fabric to use for this lady:

I want to try to make it as accurate as possible so I want the shiney bits to be shiney, even if it will be a pain to work with.

Finding a gradient & shiney fabric for the sleeves might be hard.. do you think it would be dyeable?

I'd also like some input on what to use for the lining on the bottom of the skirt, especially the sheer layer on the bottom.. I'd like the costume to move still, but I feel like whatever I put on the bottom is going to weigh it down

I would use Sateen (not to be confused with satin). Sateen has better hold on the style and it takes beautiful shape. This would be for the criss cross top and sleeves. Then the jagged edge skirt I would use crepe de chine on the wrong side, not the shiny side. The last skirt, I would use a light weight organza. Gold trim for edges. Appliqued designs on the tops of the outfit.

I hope that this will help you. If you find that this is overwhelming for you to make, please feel free to contact me. Thanks. - uniquecreator
