Evening, dearies! I totally forgot to post a pic of my Rumple make-up! Now, this was just applied quickly with my finger, but you get the idea. This will be the top coat, though I may do a very fine undercoat in chartreuse for the greenish/gold look, or I have some gold powder I may go over it with. Have to play around some more. As it stands, the gray make-up already has a pearlescence that is non-metallic so it's kind of neat. I also plan to use liquid latex to give myself wrinkly hands and perhaps age myself around my eyes and mouth a bit, since I am not a handsome 51-year-old Scottish man. Alas!

Thumbs up Yeah! Snow white Wedding costume

Hi,

I'm so happy to find this group.

I'm having a Snow White wedding dress made (I have no sewing skills). We brainstormed about the feathered skirt and decided to try white feather boas attached to the skirt.

I've bought snow white's ring on EBay and a replica of the storybook to hold for people who don't know the show.

Besides the Sunday at 5:30pm meetup, is anyone marching in the parade? I asked at the Parade yahoo group whether OUAT Costumes should be placed with its track (Amer. Sci Fi Media) or the Disney/Kaleidescope track. I haven't heard back yet.

In general, I'm doing a non-Disney Snow White weekend with Snow White and the Huntsman armor (Rubies Costume) and SWATH (I won a t-shirt on the FB page) & Once Team Snow t-shirts from a lovely Twitterer named Julie (julieann.spreadshirt.com). She also does other OUAT shirts.

Powellfamily, I answered you on FB, but in case anyone's here and not there: I would love to get a group together to represent OUAT in the parade on Saturday! So far, I have a Granny, Waitress!Ruby and Emma Swan (me) and a possible Nova the Fairy interested. With the exception of Nova, our costumes are pretty easy to change in and out of, unlike FTL costumes, and with everyone having the meetup on Sunday, I think people may be loathe to pull those off twice in one weekend I'm wearing a wig that does not go with any of the other costumes I'm bringing - two of them use my natural hair, so marching in the parade would actually make it a bit tough for me to do any other costume on Saturday, but then, my Emma costume is easily my most detailed and has the most effort, and I wouldn't mind doing it both weekend days.

Can I just say how much I love that you're doing a Snow White themed con! That's so cool!

Thanks! I usually have a grab bag approach. One costume per day. But this year, I'm volunteering in the Filk Track and it will be a lot easier to keep up, with a theme.

Every year I say I'm going to do the parade, and then I never do! I may be interested, but it would have to be as Belle since Rumple would be a no-go that early in the morning. Please keep us updated! If I was ever going to march, I'd like to do it for OUAT.

It was my first parade, last year. It was great. And short enough not to be tedious.

Are any of you planning on doing a group at SDCC on Sat? We're not sure yet but we may be there with my fiance in his Rumpel costume and if there is a group it would be loads of fun to do a shot together. Here he is as Rumpel at the Labyrinth Ball this past weekend.

This is my absolute favorite costume of Regina's, and it looks amazing so far! I've seen a lot of hate for True North, but I really like the episode. It gives me mega-feels.

Hate to double post, but I'm pretty much done with this thing! Finished the boot covers today, and FINALLY finished the waistcoat. ONE MILLION GROMMETS. I went through like three versions of the collar because it kept being too tall, and it's still a little too tall but I'm done messing with it! The back of this thing makes me feel like a dominatrix. XD
