oh, im talking about concerts OUTSIDE the convention. like hearing about a band i like coming on a tour. nothing to do with cons at all. those are like generally 6pm -midnight depending on how many ubands come and WHERE they are playing..

yea sorry if i confused you there, but i was talking in general about how time flies for me at any event lol

on the topic of that the cons concerts, since its my first con, i couldnt tell ya.

Apparently. xD Time always goes faster when you have a lot of things to do with a looming due date.

Concert length usually depends on how many bands are going to be performing and how many opening bands there are. Usually the big Main Event bands last about 2 hours. Some go a bit longer, some go shorter. Something like that.

ladyA, i listen to a CRAP ton of different styles..i mostly like post hardcore/screamo type..
bands like: UnderOATH, blessthefall, The Devil Wears Prada, Drop Dead Gorgeous. things of that nature lol
i also like pop like: Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, KSM, Miley Cyrus (her first cd though). things like that.
i also like a lot of metal..id name some, but theres so many in so many different styles its just easier to say the vast majority of the metal (old, new black death, any lol) i will listen to.
then theres jrock: Girugamesh, Vidoll, The Gazette, An Cafe, and more.
a few jpop, like: Hirano Aya, Otsuka Ai, and others i cant spell lol

i read your profile, it says you like eto cosplay from music, so im guessing you like a lot of japanese music? what else you like? since you brought it up lol

Not like the decision is being made around me, but I should be available all day the whole weekend. I think a lot of people might be waiting for the schedule to post so they can see how their days go (or am I the only one that does that? lol) I'd love to see other people there so I can put names to faces.

The very term 'lunch' sends people up in arms I noticed over time. Some people think about when they're hungry for lunch and others think of 'appropriate lunch time' XD I don't know, just rambling.

I'm waiting mostly for the panels and autograph sessions as far as when I'm available. There's so many more things I'm looking forward to but the panels I don't like to miss.

yea, i know what you mean there, i feel lunch means between the times of 11AM to 1PM before that is breakfast time, after that its getting closer to dinner time so why eat that close to dinner lol

as for time and such, i was hoping 11AM, cuz theres stuff i want to do as well..

I listen to mostly JRock, mostly older VK stuff since I'm too lazy to keep up with new releases like I used to. Dir en Grey, Kagrra, Janne da Arc, Luna Sea, X Japan, Amaterase, Metronome, Rentrer en Soi, etc.

Lately I've been getting into some metal, mostly Iron Maiden, Killswitch Engage, Kamelot, and Symphony X. And Alestorm, cos they're hilarious. xD;

I also like dark, electronic, industrial music, like Aural Vampire, BAAL, and Bloodstain Child.

Nope. o: Waiting on the schedule like half the other meetups out there. xD; You're one of the few people here I've actually already met. o: Hopefully I can see you again at the lunch meetup.

So far, Friday morning/midday is sounding like the most promising time. It's pretty much the only time that major events and events others have already said they want to go to aren't happening.

o thats kool, i have a dir en grey cd, pretty good. i also like some of that metal you listed, ive seen all those bands live except alestorm..havent heard of them i dont think..ive heard of HALESTORM but it could be different for all i know....

I know, I was looking for you last year but I was so sidetracked XP ugh.
That sounds pretty ideal, it feels like the 'big' events or the most important ones happen Friday nights and Saturdays during the day since most local people would be free to attend then and it's more 'congested.' Fridays seem like the time to familiarize with the layout.

I like their older work, mostly. And live. Because I find their early recorded work to sound kind of flat.

Same here. o: Although, I was actively looking for like, 7 different people, including Liger Zero Lindsey and the members of Bacon Flavored Cosplay and I didn't see any of them anywhere. Sakura-Con is so big it's easy to miss people in the crowds.
