This here be a place for all talk of Skyrim. Currently your pre-release excitement, and in a couple of days, your post-release Skyrimity. Which will be a word by then.

My current thoughts are:

Holy crap its only like, 26 hours! I literally cannot wait! What shall I do first? What kind of character shall I make? What kind of weapons should I use?

Awwww, I am so gonna find a mammoth and re-extinct his wooly ass. I hope the facial animations have improved and it doesn't look like your getting all your quests from the undead.

Shall I wipe out an entire town of innocents? Thus losing the ability to receive any quests there, but gaining... well, gaining the fun of wiping out an entire town of innocents...
...Bruma totally had that shit coming.

I really want to be a werewolf! I wonder what the factions will be like! I CAN'T WAIT!

I'm going to do my first play through as a male imperial thief with fists, bows and maybe some form of magic if I have space.

Then one my next play through I'll be a female Breton (High Elves and their weakness can kiss my well protected arse) destruction Mage. Not sure what my backup/melee weapon will be in that case though.

What format are you all getting it on (I'm going with the PC version so I can play about with the construction set)?

Took the words right out of my mouth. I'm making exactly that, and she will be the great-great grandaughter of the character I used the hell out of in Oblivion. I will also be playing as a male Nord Warrior, because I feel obligated to.

I'm so annoyed though, I couldn't get friday off of work, so I have to wait till 5 pm to play.

I've hardly read anything about it, only watched the trailers. Can you make the snake people? My main char on oblivion one of them and he was a bit of a badass.

Thats asking much, haha. It'll probably launch bugged as usual, but then get better as time goes on. We'll see though...hoping I'm wrong.

Excited for this one; not sure exactly which race/class-combo I'm going for this time around, but the character customization options should certainly sway me a bit. I like Dark Elves personally for aesthetics AND traits, but I've heard you can make the Orcs look Uruk-Hai-ish (See: Lord of the Rings) and that might sway me to go with the mindless, one track warrior-only race of Orcs. I'm not prepared enough for it yet...I should probably get on that.

I enjoyed Oblivion. Though I won't be buying Skyrim anytime soon. I pre-ordered Saints Row: The Third already and need to save up for The Old Republic in December.

So envious of you guys

The game looks absolutely gorgeous. I usually compose my own class in Elder Scrolls, which is most of the time a swordsman/mage hybrid. Go and get those dragons, boys 'n girls.
