Where can I buy hair extensions/streaks?
I'm making a Rinoa cosplay and she has a few light bits in her hair and whenever I search for blonde/caramel hair extensions/streaks I keep getting the big ones you clip under your hair to make it look longer instead of smaller ones that add a streak of colour to your hair.
Are they called something else maybe? |

They have them at Sally Beauty Supply :] I think they all might be human hair, though.

I use the clip-on ones to streak the hair rather than make it look longer- it works, just cut the extensions to your wig length, and position the wig's hair to cover the clip, spray the hair in place if you really need to. Usually, the hair naturally falls over the clip, but you never know xD
If you're talking about the hair that you can sew into wigs, they're called wefts.

I think what you keep finding are wefts, and what you're looking for are clip in extensions.
I get mine from doctored locks. Or you could probably find some at Sally's Beauty Supply like tehkukikookie said.

Where I live, coloured streaks are really popular right now. You might be able to find them in your local Claire's or Ardene's (I did).

Seconding Claire's or Ardenes or other accessory shops, the little clip-in wefts/hilights are everywhere. I almost picked a few up myself...

If you can't find clip-in extensions, just get a pack of loose extensions (silky straight kanekalon) and sew the strands into the wig. You'll need to seal them on the inside (with a heat sealer or glue), however. You'll want to sew them into the skin top (fake scalp) of your wig.

I ordered several from this ebay seller for my Twilight Sparkle wig:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/270734299265 MUCH cheaper than Sally's for the exact same thing. And more colors! ![]()
