So... I've been in Japanland for about 3 months, and haven't found anywhere to cosplay or any fellow cosplayers. I'm sure it would be easier if I could fluently speak the language, but I can't, so I can't just randomly ask the girls looking at the costumes in Animates, "hey, do you cosplay too?"

So, I was wondering if anyone was near me, and if they'd like to go hang out sometime?

I second this inquiry. (Wow, that sounded kind of formal...)

I live about two hours away from Osaka. I'm open about my cosplay interests where I work (at elementary schools so the kids think it looks fun anyway), and a couple of my co-workers have told me more than once about some weekly meet-up in Osaka, but neither they nor I know where that is. I'd do more research but I'm more interested in attending something like this with a fellow non-Japanese cosplayer. Japanese cosplay kind of intimidates me >.>

However, if you can not speak Japanese...it is very very hard to talk to other people, because they can not speak English...

Oh thank you thank you!!!! I'm still hesitant to go by myself (not because of language but because of being the only foreigner), but it's really good to have a resource for looking up events! I needed this!

Hey there ^^ I also live within 2 hours of Osaka (I like to drop into there or Kobe once in a while for some anime shopping). I do mostly Hetalia cosplay in Japan but would totally be up to going to any cosplay event or just hanging out if someone wants to!
