Now That My Left Arm Is A Mechanical Engine Of Destruction...

...what should I do with it?

Here's the arm itself: http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto....t=500 &page=1

And a few of me wearing it:

It was originally built out of a combination of frustration and boredom, and to give me something to wear to clubs (you can't see them in these pics, but the little flashing lights look awesome in dark club-lighting). But, since I have a Left Hand of Doom, I feel like I should do more with it.

Any ideas? Either where I should wear such an Engine of Destruction, or costumes or outfits that might go with it?

It looks awesome! What did you make it out of?

If it was your right arm, you could be Ed from Full Metal Alchemist... but he's also a lot younger and shorter. Which arm of Folken (Escaflowne) is metal? I have forgotten. Um... any knight or anything from a video game.... And Meier Link from Vampier Hunter D Bloodlust has a metal hand...but once again, I think it's his right... (most anime charas are right handed).

Wow, thats awesome!!!
How about Jet Black from Bebop? I forget which arm of his is different though...and yes, Meier Link's metal hand is on his right hand (Meier! *swoon*)
VERY cool design, awesome job ^^

that's sweet. how long did it take to make? i bet you could make a few adjustments and sell them in mass to the trekkies as borg arms.

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions.

Eleryth, it's made out of craft foam and hotglue ("Foamie," appeares to be the brand name)...I'm not really familar with any of those characters you mentioned, though I love the sound of the title FULL METAL ALCHEMIST. I'll have to look for that one.

ParnsAngel, actually, Jet Black has been suggested to me before I even built the arm. Might not be a bad idea....

Photog, four days, off an on. I've had some one ask me to do some HELLRAISER armor in this style, but I've never though Borg. Hmmmm....

Ragressen, doing a Doctor Doom costume chills my heart, for two reasons. One, to do the good Dr. justice, I would have to start all over and it would take an immeasaureable amount of time. And Two, now that you've suggested it, I really, really want to do it.

NO NO, you don't understand.......... Full Metal Alchemist is one of the best animes of 2003, and it only has 11 eps. Once you see it, you could make the modifiactions and make an amazing Ed Elric arm. Trust me, I would so want that costume!

I'd say you could be Folken but his mechanical arm is his right one... not that many people would stop you and say "You did the wrong arm, dumbass" I think they'd be too impressed by it to remember. ;p

If anyone does stop you and tell you that you did the wrong arm, just tell them that you're the flipped american manga version.

I'd really like to know how you made that arm. It rules.

Thank you for all the compliments! Who would have thought one little engine of destruction would garner so much praise?

I really think I'd have to make a new arm for Jet, though. I mean, I love COWBOY BEBOP. It'd be wrong not to give a BEBOP costume my best effort. So Jet's arm, since is not an engine of destruction, as KIDd pointed out, would need to be all new.

To sate Spike's curiousity, it's just foam and hot glue, man. Nothing fancy. I posted progess shots up on my online journal. Here's the links:

As far as dressing up like Jax goes, Chino-San, there's one major stumbling block: I'm not black. Not a problem for me personally, but I don't look forward to be constantly told by strangers at a con that I'm not black.
