The 21st is suppose to mark something big happening (if that), but not the end of the world. And I had forgotten about it before it came up on the thread XD

I say again, I don't live my life in fear.

I say that to anyone who goes on about the end of the world.

Yeah, I highly, highly doubt it'll be an apocalyptic scenario. Something else weird happening? Maybe. I can't wait for all the doomsday-scenario History channel shows to die off after this (except Life After People. That one's good without assuming how we all die/vanish).

I loved Life After People. It was eerie but not apocaplypsy.

If the world DOES end I hope it does it before I have to work that day.

Life After People is the most depressing thing I've ever watched.

I'm inclined to believe that we've been divining and predicting the end of our species since were were able to gouge symbols into the dirt with our fingers and bash each other's skulls in with rocks; I just think John The Apostle/John of Patmos and the Mayans got a little more clearance to broadcast their spin compared to the average schmo. Wonderful what a good marketing campaign can do for your message.

And hey, if I'm wrong, I'll be happy to be corrected.

If the world ends, I won't care, because I'll be blown up. I don't get why people make such a big deal about it. Like, so what? YOU'LL BE DEAD.

I have to plan a really great outfit for that day, though, just in case.

I am looking for taco bell.

Has anyone seen a taco bell?

Oh, believe me, they are not just simpletons. They are a bunch of fucking crap-for-brains, immature, internet/video game/Walking Dead-worshipping, hormone-fuelled simpletons who can't be arsed to work and use the course as an excuse to sit around all day watching stupid Youtube videos and arguing about whether dubstep or death metal is better (it's one of the downsides of doing a digital animation and video game design course), whilst I'm working myself to the limit to get my project done before the holidays start. It's a great bloody shame because they weren't like this last year.

Depends on how you look it. The college system works a bit differently here in the UK.

If they weren't like that last year my bet is that a source of influence has caused them to appropriate an opinion that initially wasn't their own. Some celebrity might have said something in favor of the opinion, maybe a professor they look up to, some super cool kid with sunglasses and leather jackets, whatever.

College in the US costs like a billion dollars. With currency exchange that's like 2 billion pounds. I am not quite sure how it's going for you over there but in the US it costs a lot to get in and a good majority of kids drop out because it's too expensive. In the US college debt is higher then credit card debt.

Well, basically, our university system is our country's equivalent to your country's college system. College is just a term we use for what we call further education institutes, which people normally attend after leaving school (although they are open to everyone, regardless of age) and before moving on to uni (providing they gain the right qualifications needed), although some will offer degree-based courses in collaboration with local unis. College courses here are usually costly or free (depending on the examination board), while uni is as expensive as hell. Our government's even tried to raise the fees so many times.

'College' in the US applies to any of the schools you attend after graduating high school. That includes local colleges, universities, technical colleges, and all of that stuff. Some places are cheaper than others like Community Colleges but they're 2 year colleges that don't offer broad ranges of subjects. I am planning on going for Entertainment Arts and Animation, which means I'll likely have to go right to a four year college and those can range in costs all over the board depending where you go.

A while back I was accepted to an arts college and it was going to cost me 40K to attend two SEMESTERS. Not YEARS. Semesters. As in to go for just Fall and Winter. I told them no way and canceled my plans.

Colleges are a pretty mixed bag here.

Also, Darumaka is the most adorable Pokemans.

Some simple things are made into way too big of a problem sometimes. I get back from lunch today at work to find the senior teller looking through previous day's work, and she was not even looking at the right day that she wanted. If I left her alone, she probably would have taken another hour to find what she was looking for. Of course when I do help, she tells me to be careful not to mix everything up -_- So I try to help, and she doesn't trust me enough to know what I'm doing, when she was not even looking at the right day to begin with. Of course the work she was looking through was what ended up being mixed up when she was putting everything back together...

On a different subject, I'm pretty sure a friend of mine that I rarely hang out with, all of a sudden wants to hang out with me to get to another friend of mine... -_-

I work at Best Buy and some of these customers. They get angry when we run out of a sale item. If they really wanted the thing they should come when the sale first starts!
