I've got a great idea guys. Let's stop cursing at each other and worry about any issues that arise when and/or if they do so.

Conventions are supposed to be fun and a chance for those with a common interest to come together and enjoy themselves in a safe and monitored environment.

There is no need for nastiness.

@evaunit01berser: Your concerns have been heard by the person running the shoot and was likely well meant. They appear to have everything under control and there isn't anything further that you can do. You voiced your concerns, they were heard, and that is all anyone is entitled to.

I don't know who posted what, where, or when, but it doesn't particularly matter. Otakon is in three days. There's no use trying to sort things out now when almost everyone is in a last minute rush to finish cosplays, finalize arrangements, and pack.

Anyway! My mask for Jaspers is finished. All I need to do now is redo the mask for GCat in a way that will actually allow me to see where I'm walking, and I'm ready for Otakon with days to spare.

So yeah this is going to be my first con as a Homestuck! I'm pretty intimidated, but it should be fun. I'll be cosplaying Jane for the stuff on Friday and Saturday, or at least if I finish the shirt in the less than a day before I leave... I'm excited to see what everyone has cosplay-wise as I'm sure it'll be amazing!

Last year was the first time I'd ever been, I totally know that feeling. Remember to stay hydrated, ESPECIALLY if you go outside. Most people do a lot of walking in a large area within the con anyway, and it's easy to get dehydrated if you go from panel to panel or meetup to meetup and don't drink anything. If you buy water outside, there's tons of vendors (one of them even sings!) who are all really nice and friendly people. It's not a scary con, I promise, and the Homestuck fanbase there seems to be made up of a lot of chatty and pleasant people overall.

This isn't the time nor the place for this. Right before Otakon, you're going to continue to drag it out and refuse to leave a thread you are literally derailing at one of the worst possible times and veering off topic incredibly badly, enough that hey! This thread has become incredibly unpleasant and that's not a good environment for people who might be going to their first Otakons or first Homestuck meetups. The meetups/photoshoots are supposed to be fun, friendly gatherings, and the thread a place to talk about them with good spirits and a pleasant attitude, but the environment you're creating by continuing to argue with the other users in this thread is unwelcoming. You haven't expressed interest in coming to the photoshoots, and the photoshoot organizers have already taken your opinions into account and chosen to keep things as they are with no indication of changing their minds, so you are literally returning to this thread to continue the drama, instead of leaving the thread for good like you appear to want to and have said you will. This isn't a good use of anyone's time, both your time and the time of the people in the thread, so I'd really just encourage you to let it go and focus more on the con that kicks into swing in just under nine hours.
