@haaku1234: I hope your grandfather feels better soon! :,( And don't worry about the calmness factor. I'm from the West Coast too, and I can assure you that Otakon seems just as lively as the West Coast cons of the same size that I've been to. (All one of them, hahaha. I usually go to smaller cons.) Just be safe and pretty much treat it like any other con!

well. I thought i would just go ahead and bring us back to the front page.

Katsucon has come to a close which means that right now my next planned U.S. con is going to be Otakon. I cannot wait for Otakon. its going to be a blast and if the amount of Homestuck presence at Katsucon is any indication, me and Alex are going to have our work cut out for us. i'm going to try and look into buying a megaphone or something.

katsucon was tons of fun! there were so many homestucks. so many. i'd expect bucketloads of them for this. i've never been to otakon before, but i'm in the process of making plans and designing my cosplays. hopefully everything works out and i'm able to come!

I'll most likely be with a group of five, and four of us are planning trickster and steampunk homestuck cosplays.

I'll be trickster Dirk and steampunk Dave! not sure what else if anything.

Whether I'll get to meet with you guys depends on a lot of things... whether I actually get to go, how many days I get to go, the state of costumes, et cetera.
Right now the cosplay I'm working on is Vinyl Scratch from MLP, but I have my Nepeta from last year available and I'd love to be in on Homestuck shenanigans again this year. If I only make it one day, I wouldn't get a chance to use Nepeta... hopefully I'll get more than a day. We'll see how it goes.

Hey guys! This'll be my first Otakon and wow I'm really looking forward to these Homestuck shoots! (considering the size of the Katsucon ones, I can only begin to imagine what this will be like)

I will be bringing Jane Crocker and depending on what I end up being able to manage I'll either bring a Runawaystuck!Dave or a Rose Lalonde.

I was considering going to Katsucon, but I didn't have my wig or anyone to go with. (I was going to be punk England from Hetalia) but I recently got into Homestuck and would like to go to Otakon. Problem is, I've never been to a con, never coelostat, my Homestuck friends all live out of state, and I'm only thirteen. I feel like most of the cosplayers would be older, and I think I'd have trouble finding a group I could hang out with for the day. But I'll probably do Vriska in a simple way, since she's my patron and all.
