Arkham City Robin
I'm trying to make a cosplay of Robin from Arkham City and the biggest problem I am having so far is finding the top half and the cape. Does anyone know where I could find a cape with a hood attached to it? I googled it but nothing really came up. The closest thing I found was a robin hood costume. As for the vest part what kind of material should I use? Everything else I think I can easily find. I have black boots, I'm guessing for the pants I could just find black pants?, the utility belt I could easily make, and the gloves don't seem too hard to make either. Its mainly just the top part and the hooded cape I need help with. If anyone knows where to get one or both it will be greatly appriciated.

Not sure on the cape. You may have to look around for a sewing pattern and just modify it. As for the chest part, I'd look around at different paintball chest pieces to use as a base. Coloring them will be difficult (I've tried before and it takes so many layers and is difficult to keep even). Here's an example of what I mean that has a similar appearance to what Robin is wearing:

I never even thought of a paint ball vest. Is it easier to paint leather type armor? I know leather isn't something you paint but would enough coats get the job done?

A paintball vest I got was made of those foam like material (very similar to a mouse pad or knee/elbow pads). That stuff just kept on soaking up acrylic paint, so I eventually just spray painted and the color did stick. However, trying to do anything more than one solid color would be very time consuming.
As for leather armor, here's a pic of Gambit I did where I just gave it a nice coat of regular spray paint and it turned out really well. You may get more shine than you'd like for Robin, so you may have to find a different kind of finish. http://www.flickr.com/photos/annealmasy/6121315678/
