High Heel Removal
I've got a pair of stilettos and I'm wanting to remove the heel. Yes, I'm aware they won't be wearable as regular shoes, but that's the point.
Any suggestions on how to remove the heel from the shoe? |

Saw it off... I remember a hoof tutorial (i think it's on here) that called for boots with the heels removed and they just sawed them off.

Just a point on the stillettos; are they ACTUAL stillettos, or just called stillettos for the heel shape? A genuine stilletto has metal inside the heel (which was what originally gave them the knife-point heel shape without collapsing under the wearer's weight) which you can't easily remove.

On many shoes, the heel is merely held in place with contact cement and a couple tacks. In those cases, you can just pry it off using whatever tool you like to gain sufficient leverage.
