Hells_Knight: Weird that the master robes aren't there but that's all right, they weren't in the Gmod download either. The closest set is the MageJourneyman set. THANKS!

Edit: Could you get the Blade of Woe

also, I found a Daedric Dagger papercraft on Deviantart if anyone was interested in making one! I can't wait O:

Hells: Thanks, man! Love that you put them in Pepakura!
We started my boyfriend's robes today. We finished the main part. Tomorrow we're going to work on my robes!

EDIT: Added Torso

(Install the program I promise its safe use it to get every possible angle of the bow with the texture on)
Finally got to check this out! Anyway, just saying this is absolutely brilliant, thank you so much! It's going to be so helpful.

@alpha_helix: Nice! It's shaping up lovely already.

I'm chomping at the bit to get my armor started, even though I really should just finish up the bow first. I get so distracted by new, pretty things. I saw a store near me was having a sale on EVA foam and now I keep thinking how I can fit in making a set of N7 armor from Mass Effect too before my fall cons...someone stop me x_x

All I do is make the Dragon Priest Masks and sell em on eBay. Mainly I make them using a aluminum cold cast resin mix.

Ooh, I want to see it all but definitely the makeup test. It's something I'm worried about with my costume too.

While I wait for my tax refund to come back in I'm thinking of starting on the "underparts" of my costume. Do any of you have any experience attaching leather to fabric? Just curious what fabric would be good or if it even really matters. Basically I'm going to make an undertunic and attach the leather to that, rather than just to itself, so I can have a bit more flexibility and not worry about popping a stitch and flashing everyone.

Photos as well! Girlfriend decided to switch up to Lydia, and we managed to actually get some stuff done as well. This is what we have of her cuirass/breastplate for the steel armor set.

Still got a bit to go, but we should make it by katsucon

I haven't attached leather to fabric, but I would suggest either a 100% cotton twill or a heavy linen, either would be able to hold the weight. Personally, I'd go with linen. it's more breathable and fits better with Skyrim's aesthetics. However, it can be trickier to find in a wide range of weights and colors, but fabrics-store.com can help there. They have nearly any linen you could need and very reasonable prices.

Thanks! I made a dress out of linen for my alterna-Chell costume, and it was nice to work with - good suggestion. I found it at Joann's for a semi reasonable price so maybe I'll pop by there to see if they have any in black. As for the aesthetic, it isn't quite AS important just because, well, assuming I do it well, you shouldn't really be able to see much of the undershirt. But having it look good if someof it does peek out will be nice.

Also your makeup looks great! The contouring and coloring looks very dark elfy. May I ask what you ended up using?

I feel like the contouring could be neater, but hopefully that will come with practice.

My color palette was a base of merhon light grey blended with light olive and just a little black to bring it a bit darker. The highlights and shadows were well blended black and white, and for the lips I brought the gray base over my lips and added a light coat of my fave rose/pink lipstick

almost finished completely recreating the iron armor part of this set. hoping to finish everything by the end of the day x__x

Edit: this is helmet 2.0. Much more lightweight and clean than the first. Working on plastering the horns now.

Also, I hearby swear off ever using plaster cloth again, or making helmets.
