Right.. .they won't just stay on unless there's something to hold them up. Gravity is not your friend. Loops, like Chobrat suggested, or if you prefer something invisible, maybe you could add snaps to the inside.

Loops are fairly easy to add,and even easier if your familiar with tubing methods.
Just make them of the same material your pants are and if you dont want them to show..add them at inner thigh.

The toughest time I'm having is finding the pants! They used to be in style last year! I'm so stuck in the 80's

If worse comes to worse, just sew a little of each of the belt directly to the pants, that's how I got belts on the sleeves of my Lulu costume to stay and they still had the detached took.

Yea i've always had trouble with the silly thigh belts on Squall's pants. I use velcro..but it's only temporary. The best thing to do is to hand sew it on...

I got really nice leather pants for 7 bucks
at Wet Seal's last year. it's very hot though...doesnt' breathe.

If sewing isn't your thing, velcro works. Perhaps material adhesive strips? I forget what they're called exactly, but they're really hand for invisible seaming. Just place between two surfaces, heat with an iron, and it'll stick like cement.

ohh, that shtuff can be narsty to work with though, I tried using them for my Lulu belts on my sleeves, and it didn't work...umm, adhesive velcro strips if u want them removable...u can crazy glue/fabric glue snaps onto the belts and pants...or just straight up fabric glue the belts to the pants

I actually bought the fur I used on my Lulu costume on eBay lol It was a Banana Republic $50 Fur wrap that cost me only $8...if your local fabric store doesn't have fur, try searching around online.

:::::nods:::: yeah e-bay has alot of really good shtuff. Since they're kinda still in style too, u might be able to find those faux fur linings for jackets either at a salvation army or on e-bay. Those tend to have a little more body than a rabbit pelt would.
...And if u know any theatre peeps, ask if their theatre company has any old fur mantles (real or faux) that they'd be willing to part with. That's where I got my fur from

They have faux fur at JoAnns, all kinds of colors. ^_^ (JoAnn Etc. I know has it, I'm not sure about regular JoAnns) Last I noticed they sold thick "strips" of white and they had white fur by the yard on bolts. ^^
