Nearing the end of ME2 and, as predicted, I'm really looking forward to ME3. I'm hoping that one of the advertisements on the Citadel will be asking people to donate money to a charity to reverse the effects of the genophage - Susan B. Krogan for the Cure.

Sadness, Metro: Last Light got scooted into 2013. Bummer now, but it will make for a good year next year when STALKER 2 is released also. Good year for Russisan, survival, post-apocalyptic, shooters

Put down a pre-order for Syndicate last night. Totally impressed by the Demo. Probably gonna pick up the Darkness 2 eventually as well, but not until well after the winter con season because I have too much to make for all these games to be distracting me!

And I think the shit Phil Fish is getting for his statements last night is nothing short of silly and the people most vocal about it are the ones lying to themselves by saying Final Fantasy 13-3 is going to be the one that gets it right.

I mean come on guys. There ARE good developers out there still and they are still putting out good games. But THOSE DEVELOPERS are the ones who stated years ago that the japanese game dev scene is turning completely stagnant by the refusal of the culture to observe what other people are doing and change. Itakagi, Mikami and Inafune all set this years ago, and guess what, THEY'RE THE ONES STILL MAKING GOOD GAMES!

Phil Fish is a cool guy. Talks a lot of shit and doesn't afraid of anything. He did go on record cleaning up what he meant a bit, but it's still damn spiky and...in my opinion, damn true.

HARSH, but yeah, not entirely off-base. Thinking about the number of games I've enjoyed the last 5 years, the majoirty of them are by western developers. Oh sure there's some good in Japan like Cave, Platinum, and a few gems here and there from the big boys, but I would say on average, there's been more misses then hits.

EDIT: FFFFF we need a new 4th man for our ME3 crew. MCslanty's XB account got hacked/frozen.
