I like just about anything (except Hershey's dark chocolate, ew), but my favorite chocolate actually comes from a local chocolate place called Stephen Libs. It's a bit pricey but SO worth it. Their dark chocolate is amazing. But just about everything they make is amazing. So effin' good. I wish it wasn't an Evansville, IN only thing (I don't live there anymore). They appear to have an online store now, but the shipping will make it even more expensive. D:

Second to that is probably either Lindor truffles or Ghiradelli's milk chocolate.
Upcoming Costume List:

If you think American chocolate is crap, don't even think of trying Asian chocolate. it does NOT taste even vaguely like chocolate. A friend who was teaching in China for a year sent me a basket of candy and chocolate bars.... i was hard pressed to find the chocolate in the chocolate bars. It just tasted gritty peanut paste and a slight faint whiff of cheap chocolate. (on the other hand, their fruit lollipops are FANTASTIC...)

Shinobi, you're not kidding about Asian chocolate. I remember the first time I got a slice of chocolate cake from a Japanese bakery. It was GORGEOUS. A delicate cocoa color with a fine crumb, immaculately frosted, with that adorable little nest of glazed fruit on top.

It tasted like sugared cardboard.

I suppose that bittersweet alkaloid bombs aren't so much to the local taste. Oh well, at least there's that whole baumkuchen thing. And anyway, because this is about GOOD chocolate, dig Fran's double-chocolate brandied fig.

Workin' on:
Tom Petty [Final Fantasy XV] (9%)
Bondage Finch [Bondage Finch Adventures] (12%)
Your Mother [Debbie Does Dallas XXIII] (8%)

The best chocolate I've ever had was made by Milka (German chocolate brand). It was a delicious chocolate bar that was filled with yogurt and strawberries. I have a hard time finding it now and fear that flavor has been discontinued. Then there was this sachertorte (an Austrian chocolate cake) I had on a cruise several years ago that was to die for. Sadly, I haven't had any as good as that since then.

Don't know what exactly it was called, but a friend of mine picked me up some Italian Chocolates from this one mall. I miss those chocolates now. They were so delicious. ;w;

I'm all about the Godiva.

And there's an awesome local shop in Gloucester that the hubby and I are now required to hit. They made the most decadent, melt-in-your-mouth truffles I've ever had. (Almost didn't need to chew them.) We bought about three pounds of it and only one pound made it home... because it was a "thank you" present to my co-worker for covering for me.

My boyfriend bought me a box of artisan chocolates and truffles at the chocolate nation. I'm not sure if I get it right but that's what I remember. The artisan chocolate is really good as well as the truffles.

I love Milka Chocolate. Especially the Happy Cow one (Milk and White Chocolate)
And I really love the Lindt Chocolate.....

Yet she tries.

I'm actually not very fond of straight chocolate.

I do love making hot cocoa from scratch though:

Dump into a mug:
1.5 tbsp of cocoa powder
1 tbsp of sugar
Add a splash of your favorite coffee creamer or cream, and stir until you have a fine paste. Add WHOLE milk, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and maybe some more creamer/cream.
Microwave 1 minute on high, stir, microwave another minute.
Add dark chocolate to taste ( I usually go a handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips)
Stir with a fork until chocolate is melted.
CHUG! Or politely sip.

I had those cute little seashell shaped chocolates. They were dark chocolate and white chocolate swirled together. I normally hate white chocolate, but these were awesome! I think we go them on the border of US and Canada.
