Mohawk at Formal Events x3

So I have a mohawk and a problem. I'm going to my school prom this year, as well as the ball at my next convention. I love my mohawk to death and I don't want to get rid of it, but I don't want to wear it up to something formal like that.
The obvious solution is a wig, of course, but my date really doesn't like wigs, so I want to say I genuinely tried before I settle for a wig.
So if you have any ideas, any at all, please feel free to let me know.

How tall is your mohawk? Maybe you can just trim it and wear it down?

I was thinking that too, but my mohawk is itty-bitty, only about four inches, if that.

slick it to the side, neat and clean and retro 50's like, and wear a giant bow or blingy barrette on the side. Or maybe try a pompadour, or curl your bangs in a giant cute girly curl. (Sorry to reference Paris there... but you get the idea.)

Your date likes you for who you are, and there's no need to wear a wig if you don't want to!

This is coming from someone who knows, lol.

its not exactly on the side but its the closest i have but this is a great way to wear it (as said my jia) and not look more formal. the other way it to use gel and slick it back, which ive also done, but sadly dont have a pic of..but i suggest the 2

Definately slick it back or wear it to the side. I have an undercut and I still show it at formal events, I'd be willing to show you a pic if it would be any help.
