Lightbulb Swimable Vaporeon Gijinka

Hey guys, it's me again.
A while back I posted a thread that was to cover a Vaporeon Body suit here...
http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=232792

Anyways, I never got the chance to make it, as life got ahold of me again, and eventually faded away...
Now, for the reason why I posted this new topic...
Over the past few months, me and my friend were discussing on what to be for Colossalcon 2012, and I brought up the Idea of my Vaporeon bodysuit. He thought it was a great idea, and he mentioned a water park that was at Colossalcon, which sparked an idea:
What if I made it like a swim suit of some sort? You know, like make it so that I can swim in the water park with it still on. Also, if I can pull this off, my friend would be my water trainer to go along with me.
Pretty cool idea huh? But (Once again) have no experience with working with spandex or swim fabic or something of the sort, and I'm afraid I would mess up if I don't get proper advice.
So, if anyone who reads this can help, please do so, as I would like to know how I can pull this off before June when the con rolls around (I think...). Also, if you can throw any ideas out for the Water trainer outfit that could help my friend when i complete mine (He's not making it until I make my "Vaporeon Swimsuit") that would be great as well!
Thanks!

TheLoneVaporeon

Ive concidered doing that myself. Only with golduck i did some research and using marine foam (foam used in boat cushions) and lycra fabric should work well for water mascot suits. As for sewing with that type of fabric ive never used it, but heard that you have to be cautious about the stretchyness whileworking with it.

Marine foam and lycra fabric? Hmm....sounds interesting and fun enough for me! But I don't know exactly where to get marine foam in particular... :/
But good luck on your Golduck cosplay dalbkino! Hope it turns out awesome!
