Boots Too Small?

I ordered some knee high zip up boots, and I can't zip them up all the way. I have pretty muscular calves/legs, and the boots look like they're made for someone with no muscle and no fat at all. Any suggestions on what to do about this?

Thanks so much.

Hmmm... you could try asking the seller and seeing if they have any 'wide calf' boots to exchange the pair with. Or, if it doesn't bother your cosplay, you can zip up the boots some what and then fold down the parts that can't be zipped. Done right this can look nice

What might work is wear some very smoothing stockings. Sometimes it is easier to zip boots like that up when the whole foot and calf are smooth, as with some shoes (Some shoes I need to wear stockings to get my foot in or it won't fit right... usually heels, lol)

Hopefully I've been of help! Good luck!

are the boots man made uppers or leather uppers(meaning the material you're attempting to zip). If it's leather you can either carefully stretch it at home yourself or take it to a cobbler and they can stretch it. If it's man made you really can't do this. Most shoes will say inside what they're made up of, so take a look.

I feel your pain. I'm not fat, no where close, but I can't even wear ordinary mid calf height boots due to my muscular calves.

There is a boot maker in down town San Antonio TX who takes casts of your feet and legs and will custom make any style of boot, for the economical starting price of $500, and the quick service of at least six months.... when I win the lottery, I'm gettin' boots

Your response was hilarious, but it didn't help much xD Still. Certainly made me laugh.

It's too late to order new boots. I guess I'll just have to compromise accuracy and wear heels

In the future, just make boot covers. You make them yourself, so they're made to fit you. This tutorial is very nice.
