Megaman Zero Helmet Help + More

So I my dream crossplay is to make Megaman Zero from the Megaman Zero Series. However I am unsure how to go about doing somethings.

I have decided that I should just buy a regular baseball helmet in a dark blueish purple since it seems to change from time to time but I would like to trip it up a bit.

Megaman Zero's armor changing colors :05

Is it possible to have a whole suit of armor to do that and change into the different armor colors? His colors are Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Pink, Orange, Purple, Silver, Black and Maroon and I was wondering if it were possible to have them all programmed to change with a press of a button that would be hidden in one of Zero's 'horn' pieces of the helmet.

[Colors]

Thankfully the base colors of the Zentai suit and the helmet seems to remain the same color of a dark purple so the only things that would change are the horns on the helmet, the arm guards, the chest piece and the boots. (Though I am unsure of where I should go about buying a opaque Zentai suit and how to hide all of the wires.)

How would I go about doing this? What would be simpler to do? What materials would I need, etc?

I would also like to know what materials I should use in order to make the following weapons for Zero. I would like to try to keep them as close to how they look in the game (like see-through)
[Z-Saber]
[Recoil Rod]
[Shield Boomerang]

I might not make all of the ones listed but I would like too if the opportunity comes along. I do not have a current deadline but I would like to take my time with this project.

Please help!

And I would like to know if I could use the same methods to make the armor light up in different colors for this [version of Zero] as well.

Should I just reuse the helmet and somehow make the horns and hair detachable or should I just make two different helmet sets for these two different outfits?

Thank you!

Edit:
How do you make yourself look robotic?

If you had a laser cutter you could cut plexiglass for the weapons.
Otherwise you could use transparent cover glued together with modge podge or something.

If you want the suit to change colors it would need to be transparent. And you could do it with EL Wire. OR Make the suit in EL Wire. :/ thats all i got.

That is one tricky cosplay, and I love Zero *grins*

Mod podge is a sealer and finish glue substance. I used this to all my foam projects before I spray paint it. Because spray paint eats off foam.
http://www.plaidonline.com/eduPDF/MP_Formula_Guide.pdf for more info.

Acrylic sheets (Plexiglass is a name brand) can be cut with Plexiglass cutter. Its a sharp object with a handle and you can use it to cut some. You'll be needing a set of blades to change it because it takes a while to cut the acrylic sheet. There are some websites where they sell Plexiglass and they can cut it for you.

As for the whole suit of armor, you could try to make the illusion that it changes colors. If you can figured out a way to make the armor, (I would go with foam or vacuum forming) and attach LED lights inside a specific areas, you could it make look like it really is changing colors. Think of it as a Tron Suit, except it changes colors and stuff.

LED lights work much better then EL wire, because If you want it to be that bright I would go ahead and use LED lights. Talk with a specialist if your looking to buy some online, they may help you with your case on how to make a row of lights to change.
Im assuming you want it to change lights like when you see rows of lights change on christmas trees. I know there is a specific name for that (trying my best to remember)

This thread talks about how to use pepakura and has a tutorial. http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=247800

I have about 2 years to finish this so I am in no hurry. I'll be starting it in the summer of this year as a side project from my other crossplays.

http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/def...kid=topnavmenu

http://www.eplastics.com/Plastic/Ple..._Acrylic_Sheet other website that sells acrylic sheet

http://www.professionalplastics.com/...SHEET-EXTRUDED

I'll see if there some local stores where you can buy acrylic/plexiglass sheets and LED lights because Im going to work on my Seele Schneider (Bleach) prop and I wouldn't mind sharing info if you want to save money on shipping.

I officially love you <3
That would be awesome if you could share your great knowledge with me. (its the first time I am going to be planning something so complex)

And those Zentai Suits look awesome!

Might have to get it in black since the purple looks too light D8;

I currently bought a plastic black army helmet that I plan to use as the base of Zero's (Zero series) helmet.

Any idea how to make the horn things on his head so they can change color?
