I've got a question in regards to Chaos. I am cosplaying Auron from FFX for the Saturday of AN and he fits Order more (unless you look at what the FFX cast did against the social order as Chaos), but seeing as how that is filled up is it possible to join in as Chaos?

As promised (for years and years ^.^), the Sailor Moon Themed cosplay battle chess game!

So, just to give everyone a quick update: There are two games this year, one being run by me, Chibi, and General Hawkeye, the other being run by another team. Both games should be a ton of fun, so I recommend you come on out to watch them both, and maybe even be in both!

This year, the other game is Sailor Moon VS The Negaverse. And yes, we will be mixing the japanese names with english and so forth, just for kicks :P

The Light side, or the Silver Millenium side, or the Good side, or whichever name you wish to use, will be Sailor Moon and her friends.

The Dark side, or the Negaverse, or the Black Moon Kingdom, or whatever name you wish to use, will be...well...the evil guys. And their minions.

How the Game is played!
There are two people playing on a small chess board.
The cosplayers are on a GIANT chess board.
The moves on the small board are called out and the cosplayers move to reflect this on the GIANT board.
All is well.

Alterations to the Game!
1. Players aren't given a choice of piece. What this means is that you ask to fill in one of the various characters, and you go where I put you. Some people might be pawns, some might be the back row (which is the queen, king, rook, bishop and knight). This is because we don't know who is going to be what. So, you may be dying quickly, or not so quickly. You may be moving a lot, or not so much. Hard to say really ^.^

What would a chess game run by me be without additions? Don't worry, nothing too crazy this time ^.^ Will be updating later.

What the pieces do!
Queen - can move anywhere, any direction
King - can move one square, any direction. Also, if check-mated, game is over.
Rook - Can move in a line direction, as many spaces as wanted/possible.
Bishop - Can move in a diagonal (either black or white), as many spaces as wanted/possible
Knight - Can move in a L shape, any direction.
Pawn - first move can be up to 2 spaces forward. After that, single space only. Can only attack on a diagonal.

How Fight Sequences are Done!
There is always an Attacker and a Defender.

Defender attacks first!
Attacker blocks/parries/dodges!
Both players move back to their spots, just like in a video game (in the fight square)
Attacker attacks!
Defender dies! or dodges and runs away, perishes, friendships, etc etc.

If you have any questions about this, don't hesitate to ask! As always, we will demonstrate before the game begins!

Q: Is there a photoshoot?
A: We used to have a photoshoot before the game, or after the game, but due to time constraints, we've had to axe it. It may come back, it may not, hard to say. But! Q: When is the game?
A:Check out the posts above, as the times, locations, and all that good info is posted there. (First post, and second post both have times and locations)

Q: How long will I be standing?
A: I recommend that if you are applying for a position, you are willing/able to stand for extended periods of time. You can sit on your square, of course, but you might not move anywhere for a long time, perhaps the whole game! It varies from game to game.

Q: Do I have to speak at all?
A: From time to time we do interact with the players, so you may want to keep that in mind. We walk around the board with microphones, asking questions, poking fun, that kind of thing. If you are afraid to speak in public, I don't recommend being a player for this game. Also, all eyes will be on you!

Q: What kind of contact is allowed during fight sequences?
A: None. We try to keep in mind that people have worked hard on their costumes, or don't want others up in their personal space. Try to remember this, but also try to make the fights as exciting and flashy as possible. Remember, costumes can be fragile, so play it safe!

Q: When do I need to sign in?
A: Half an hour before the game. If you are not there at the half hour mark. After that, your spot opens up. Exception is if you tell us ahead of time that you will be late (with a reason), and that's okay. Unfortunatly, once the game start time rolls around, and if you haven't shown up by then, we have to fill the spot regardless. (This is due to the fact that there is another event right after us, so we can't delay the game starting, or ending.)
