Steampunk maid?

I know this sounds a bit odd, but that's why I'm having trouble with it. An upcoming con I'm going to has a steampunk theme this year, and they want the servers at the maid cafe to steampunk-ify their costumes. I'm sort of at a loss beyond goggles and boots.

would be great with a steampunk vacuum or steampunk maid accessory. Is there anyway to "steampunk" a feather duster? maybe a bronze like handle and peacock feathers? Or like a steampunked swiffer sweeper. how about a leather like apron instead of a white lace one?

That's all i got, I'm gotta my element. :-)

Those are awesome suggestions from pinyocosplay. You could also carry a brass tea set, and instead of goggles wear some glasses that have the various magnifying glasses on them or something.

I'll actually be serving food/drinks in a maid cafe, so I won't have hands free to carry props. The hair ornaments will probably work better.

things like an underbust corset with brown and steel, with a white puffy shirt seems like it would work?this kind of look dress thing would suit steampunk if you change some colors and things.-->http://www.superhappycashcow.com/pic...0941/941-6.jpg
from what i can think of, the maid outfit should have more brown or bronze and i think of things like this-->http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/20...bi-d317tny.jpg
http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs48/f/20..._Gali_miau.jpg
of course though, i really wouldn't know if this is good advice.

you could do those tiny top hats, those are always good for steampunk! you could also add lots of lace and get those fishnet leggings and fingerless gloves are always a good touch. Good Luck!

Oooh! Feather Duster holster! Make like a leather bandolier holding various supplies! A spray bottle. A cleaning cloth. A feather duster!
