I went ahead and made a list as well, just to say how the hotel carnage goes tomorrow...

5 more minutes.. and then 3 days of waiting since they said you won't get the email saying which hotel you get until Sunday, April 1st.

THEN if you are satisfied with your choice, you have 48 hours to have 2 nights payment ready for the deposit. Talk about little or no time to get $600+ in your bank account by April 3rd.

The time delays they have included make no sense. Why not give people to the end of next week rather than making us pay on a Tuesday.

Im curious what was everyone's first choice. Mine was the Bristol

Last year they emailed me which hotel I got within a few hours. And once I submitted my credit card info to lock-in the hotel confirmation, I had about 1 to 2 weeks (I forgot) to gather up the funds from my roommates so it could cover one the first night's deposit.

This year, they're making us wait up to 2 days before we find out which hotel we got, and then we have only 2 days to have to cover 2 nights which may not be enough time to get the $$ together.

For all that waiting and lack of opportunity to gather $$ from people, they better give me my first hotel choice.. which is the Marriott Marquis & Marina.

edit: If you try to reserve a hotel now on the website, you can no longer ask for any of the Downtown hotels.

Guess they want there money early this yeah. Also the early bird sale made no sense the hotels were more expensive and way far away. I hope I at least get a downtown hotel so I'm not stuck taking the shuttle which I'm sure is going to be hell.

I received an email but it was just to confirm everything that I chose when I submitted my request in the morning, including my info, the list of hotels I requested, and the type of room I requested.

At-least this way I know I didn't screw-up anything in my haste to submit my request.

Yup, just got that email too. I couldn't remember which hotel I even tried for first - I was in such a rush but at least managed to be faster this year than last xD Apparently it was Hilton Bayfront, second is Marriott Marquis and Marina.
I wonder if the tight schedule is because how how much later they've had all these registrations? Last year weren't the hotels at the beginning of the month? Either way, the waiting game is not a fun one but I guess we gotta hope for the best?
