The commissioner I commissioned was Filthy Commissions, their website is http://filthycommissions.yolasite.com and I got commissioned some BJD clothes of Sebastian Michealis from Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji)

Let me first state that even though I commissioned BJD clothes, he also makes a lot of normal cosplays as well. I first commissioned him back in august for the bjd costume for my best friend for he birthday in october. I figured it wouldn't be much of a problem because it's not as hard as normal costumes and he lived in the states so it would mean no international shipping. October came around and he said he had to extend the deadline because the commission before me changed their mind...but I was going to be next. Months went by, I would email him occasionally wondering on progress and I would have to email him 3 TIMES before he replied. And he always came up with an excuse on why he hasn't even STARTED the commission yet (yes, I already paid half at this point) such as I was helping my mom move, I was in the hospital, I haven't checked my email ect.

Finally about a few days ago I asked him if the commission was even STARTED yet....Keep in mind I commissioned this back in this BACK IN AUGUST AND IT IS NOW MARCH MAKING IT 7-8 MONTHS AFTER I COMMISSIONED IT and he STILL DIDN'T START IT with the excuse that he had 2 other orders before mine that he still had to finish up and that THEY kept changing their mind. Finally I emailed him about 5 times asking for him to send me a refund and I finally got it.

He was a very sweet guy, but that doesn't account for all his excuses and not starting my commission after 7-8 months in.

To explain, we take order's as they come, and they are lined up by order of who paid first.
I was dealing with two other commissions that constantly kept changing their mind and making me start my work completely over, and there was nothing I could do about it because I did not have a contract (I have since then revised my rules that way I do not get caught up in another avalanche again). Since they continued to push back my due dates month by month I was falling incredibly far behind, had to cancel a lot of orders and also stuck in between moving to a new apartment as well. I tried telling the original buyers that started the fall that I would just send their money back that way I could start on other costumes, but they absolutely refused and wanted me to keep working. I am sorry that I had to cancel your order, but I did refund you entirely.
As I said I have since changed a contract to prevent people from doing this to me again.

I wouldn't black list them just yet. This person did come on here and try to make things right. I feel that is not black list worthy till they REALLY eff up. At least this person explained themself and gave a refund.

Hence why my schedule is based on deadlines, if someone changes their deadline to a later date, then their commission will get pushed back. I can't constantly be working on one or two commissions for months because someone keeps changing their deadline. I have other deadlines too.

This person shouldn't be blacklisted because they tried to make things right and even though it took a while, the client got a full refund in the end and the commissioner learned from experience and has since then revised his guidelines. The blacklist should be kept for those who do poor work and their clients are left upset, not getting a refund or better item or down right scam people out of their money and drop off the face of the earth.

I think jumping to blacklist anyone is probably not the right move. Things do happen and I feel as long as the problem is rectified (full refund, shipping free, whatever deal you work out with the commissioner) there isn't really a reason to blacklist them. Plus, it seems like an isolated incident, as no one else has complained about this commissioner as of yet. I'd give it more time. The commissioner gave a refund.

so far there is 7 Blacklisted people on there and they deserved to be on there. i'll leave this thread alone until something happens, for now i am cracking down on all bad commissioners and putting them on my list. so far a few cosplay.com users had came forward with people that they feel deserve to be on there

Completely understandable. I meant mostly this commissioner and those in general that have tried to rectify the situation should not be blacklisted unless the same incident happens more than once. This commissioner at least gave a refund. Most people never see that, or any products when being scammed.

Well ill leave this person alone, until then off to hunt for other scammers
