Miss you guys!!!

Just a note to let the "homies" in Japan know: I miss you all terribly!!!!

Sheik and I are living together and have our walls plastered with photos of Japan, cosplay, friends, etc. We're having a small ex-Japan-expat reunion at PAX East (Heza, Jason, Mason, myself, Mike and sheik)... if anyone will be passing through Boston Easter weekend and wants to wax poetic about how much we miss standing in huge lines for changing rooms and being asked why our breasts/noses/asses are so large by precocious Japanese people -- join us.

Hopefully there will be an in-Japan reunion on the near horizon... but money's still tight and cars/jobs are sucking us dry of plane fare T-T

Perhaps next Autumn?

Love you guys!
Stay awesome,
-kira

We miss y'all too, how are things back on that side of the Pacific?

At least you've gotten a group together to reminisce. Our numbers are dwindling over here, but is the nature of expats. My time will be numbered sometime this summer/early fall. Oh, Comiket is even more crowded than before. This winter's Comiket had 8,533 cosplayers register on day 2 alone. Imagine the dressing room.

Has anyone been in touch with Dan? (The FFT chemist from TGS 2011)

I got a happy birthday message from him about 6 months after I last saw him at Yorustar the week after... but I've been thinking about him quite a bit on returning. He'd be a cool fellow to rope into ex-expat shennanigans. Let me know if you know where he's gotten off to

Miss you and Sheik too! I did get out to Katsucon a couple weeks ago, that was a blast, very beautiful venue. I will be moving to Tokyo as planned over the next month so not going to have a lot of money for travelling around. Getting together with Goldy regularly and getting out to events, besides that no big changes.
