I have cosplayed Naruto, Bleach, and Hetalia - all extremely popular series that have gotten bad raps for their fandom, BUT, in my experience, you will meet far more cool people than batshit insane people. I wouldn't worry too much. And again, if you have any concerns, don't be afraid to let me know. Princess Celestia would never want her subjects to feel uncomfortable!

Yes my dear sister quite right. I personally can't stand for stupid people at conventions specially during photoshoots because they are suppost to be about having a good time and getting to meet new people not freaking glomp circles and other stuff <.<; And if anyone tries to pull that kinda of stuff at the photoshoot, they again will be asked to leave. But for the most part photoshoots are very fun and enjoyable and I can't wait for Otakon.

Time: 4:30 - 5:30/5:45. An hour should be enough time for us to derp around and take pictures! However, if a LOT more people than anticipated show up, and no other groups need the area, we can possibly stay a little longer.
Location: 3rd floor terrace.


NOTE** - Everyone likes to have fun at photoshoots, so to ensure that the fun is doubled, I'm gonna ask you guys to follow four simple rules at the Saturday shoot:

1.) No screaming at the top of your lungs, please. It's not necessary, and it makes it difficult to hear other people.
2.) No making out, groping or other inappropriate touching. Save it for the hotel room. Pecks on the lips or cheek are fine as long as the other cosplayer is cool with it!
3.) DO NOT GLOMP/TACKLE. For the love of God, just don't do it. You may think it's "cute" or "funny", but you can damage the costume they worked so hard on, and worse, you can severely injure them. I have seen this happen first hand.
4.) Please listen to my directions, at least until we get the photos out of the way. Then we can be random and have chit-chat/silly picture time!

If you cannot follow the rules and choose to make an ass out of yourself, you will be sent to the m-- I mean, asked to leave.

So we are just outside of a month before Otakon and I have still to decide on a time or place for the Friday shoot, so I am asking if anyone has any time preferences or idea's for a location that won't interfere with other shoots. Preferably one inside, as I know a few of the Ponys coming with me (myself included) are in costumes not heat-friendly.

Just from experience re: being outside in hot costumes forever...

Either the indoor fountains or the 4th floor will probably be your best bet for a shoot if you're worried about heat. The outdoor fountains are a block or two walk, and the 3rd floor terrace is still outside, even if the air conditioned con center is maybe 10 yards away.

You might want to check the master list of gatherings for Friday and see what you can do.

(I also just have to say that I am SO EXCITED that we have a Shining Armor. I definitely want to get a picture with you!)

indoor fountains are the worst place for a daytime photoshoot. Easy to find but unless the photo is at night like after 7 there will be way too many people down there . The 4th floor is getting very popular .

But after all of that I'm not sure if I can come to a friday shoot if it's between 1 and 3 as I already have one durring that time, and am waiting on another to pick a time >_<;

I'll take a look at the existing list and see if theres a time frame that doesn't interfere with other shoots, but I know for a fact that it should be later that 1, as I know some people may not even be at the con yet by that time, or could still be getting ready.

Is anyone AGAINST the idea of an evening shoot?
