My own mini con report

First off, I had a great time at Atomic Lollipop. The event seemed to have a few hiccups here and there, but that's partly what happens when you have a newer con.

Managed to make my way to a bunch of events and hung out with a lot of people. I'm not sure exactly what my favorite event was, but my best memory was just the feel from wandering around Saturday night, going to different events, each with their own vibe, meeting new people or old friends, and just generally being able to enjoy the people and places. Getting that event vibe where you can just float between things with people and enjoy it all is a nice thing to have at a con for a Saturday night. Spent most of the day just enjoying the company of friends in various spots, and the blanket fort made for a good chill area between other things.

Had a great time, and I'm looking forward to more of it next year

So much fun this year. It's still hard to believe that this was only the second year! Lots of programming from an addition of a maid cafe and even snake exhibitors. My favorite part of the con definitely had to be the craft workshops, I got to make a Navi plushie, I'm kind of sad though because I lost while running around the con.

This was my first convention selling in the artist alley. Great experience! I also had fun running around in the playground area. Although, let's just say, my mechanical bull-riding days are over; I stayed on for a decent amount of time, but I pulled something in my leg and was limping for the rest of the night XD No regrets!

I had fun, even though I ended up only going for one day instead of both. PJ Phil was my childhood so it was really cool to see him. My favourite part was definitely the snakes. DDD

Will definitely try to make it out next year~

This was my first time at Atomic Lollipop and I have to say I had a great time! I was helping out at the Cafe Delish event, where our profits from our cake sales went to WWF. The convention is quite small scaled compared to Anime North, but it has a great atmosphere. Everyone is very nice and inviting, and there's an underlying sense of fun to the whole weekend. I was only there on the Saturday, but I think Sunday would have been as fun also!

We ran a maid dance panel that went really well and I'm really thankful for all the participants who showed up! They mastered the dance really quickly and we all had lots of fun teaching the dance.

We did check out some panels and the areas of the convention after our event was done. I think my favorite was the Disney Karaoke, there's just something really fun about singing songs, and when the whole room is singing along with you!

My only regret is that I missed the fire performance on Saturday night since I had to drive my friends home and go to bed early from lack of sleep during the few days before!

Overall, it definitely exceeded my expectations and beyond! And I look forward to next year! ♥

Report of Kahn

This was my first year going and I had an amazing time.
It was my first time at the con and my first time as a panelist and I can't imagine having a better time as partyer or panelist :P

I'll admit, because of panels and troubles getting out of downtown (construction :P) I really only experienced the night life of this party con - but seriously, this was the best con I've ever been to in Canada. You need to go and you need to tell ALL of your friends about this one.

Disney Karaoke, Farris Wheels, Bouncy Castles, Burlesque, DDR, Pyroshows, Giant Pillow Forts!

WHY DID YOU NOT GO TO THIS KAHN!
slash
You know you loved this con to death!
I've got more on my epic con times blogged on my tumblr.

I will 100% be there next year as a partyer and panelist!

Well this con was aaaaaaaaaawesome.
Second time going and second time volunteering.
My favourite con so far!
Vibrant atmosphere, and really open to anything.
Soooooooooo many random things going on, it was just amazing.
Last year? Inflatable flamingos and surprise fireworks!
This year? Dragon balls hidden in tampon dispensers (LOL), and robots on the loose!
There's always something going on and always people to talk to!
Very fun ((((:

Now I'd like to highlight the maid cafe dance panel! Something new that hasn't been done at Anime North, and I think it was an awesome idea. I love dancing, and I'm sure many others do. In just under an hour we all managed to learn an entire dance... Was really efficiently run and enjoyable! The youtube recording made it even better C:

Also cosplayed as Sadako from Ringu as I'm sure many of you saw. ;P The fact that this was a smaller con made my cosplaying experience much easier. I could actually get through the crowds, and I didn't have to prepare 3 days worth of outfits :P (however, I definitely won't complain if APOP ever extends to 3 days! :D)

I did a looooooot more but that's all I'll mention for now.
I'd really love it if more people came next year. I think this con definitely deserves to continue for many years to come

Thank you to everyone who came and sat at PlushWorks table! It makes all my hard work well worth it!

sorry for the disorganization when I was handing out materials/guides..working in a small space with that make students wasn't easy -- Did everyone like the table idea better than the larger Classes in rooms?

If anyone wanted to come but couldn't, the guides are all on my blog.

I did learn that 11-5pm is a long ass time to be sitting at a table talking. My voice was going by the end there. :P (next year, I demand a helper! haha). But thank you for anyone who watched the table while I ran to the bathroom or to get food. You're awesome!!

I think it was really nice that it was a table, because it felt more like anyone could just sit down whenever they wanted and start sewing!! Even if it was hard work for you. ^_^; Your plush work is really really great and it was fun sewing with you! :3

I'm a bit late chiming in, but better late than never right? This was my first year at APop and it was pretty awesome. The random snake table you had to keep passing in the hallway was so hilarious. I saw people cringing away or not looking, and other people excitedly holding snakes and wrapping that huge boa around themselves. (I tried holding the boa and MAN was it heavy!)

The rave theme was awesome. I made kandi bracelets. I felt a little bad for the DJs during the day on Saturday though. It was so incredibly hot out, that there was almost no audience for them in the afternoon.

Some other favourite things: Plush Works, interactive craft things, I won the craftsmanship award in my first masquerade, helped build the blanket fort, and made free buttons.

THANKS SO MUCH for everyone who came out to the Avengers panel! I had a great time talking to you guys.
