I cosplayed for the first time
last year... at the age of 37! If you're
too old, then I'm really out of line.
There is no age at which you're too old to cosplay, but even if there was, from what I've seen (at Anime cons, anyway) 22 seems to be the average
age of cosplayers. Older folks are in more evidence at Steampunk and sci-fi conventions.
As for me, having recently seen the first episodes of Legend of Korra
(I'm a big fan of Avatar
) I'm now really hyped about cosplaying Korra's air bending master, Tenzin, at some future date. Not only am I probably his age, but I already sport a bald pate and goatee.
So just go have fun with it, no matter how old you are.
